Fine on my OPX, but then I think a Snapdragon 801 is a fair bit faster than your 615. Does stutter if the phone gets too hot though, which in the hot sunshine with a powerbank plugged in happens more than I'd like!

BAH!
Damn, I would really love it to run smoothly. I thought it was just the software, but apparently not Not really willing to upgrade phone just for it tho.
haha - I was pleased as it was the last starter Pokemon I needed
Even with my 6P when it gets hot I start to notice lag (whicg makes mass transferring a pain).
Would be nice if there was an option to replace the 3D models with 2D ones to reduce rendering load. Someone on Reddit did a nice mockup of a 2D mode: https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/4sjjh6/quick_mockup_of_a_battery_saver_mode_id_like_to/
That's cool, surprised there isn't an option I guess.
Presume you put the battery saver mode on in the settings?

Nice. I got a Charmander to start with, then found a Wartortle out and about the other day.
Apparently hatching lots of 2km is a way to get candy for the starter pokemon....not tried that theory yet.
It helps having 2km eggs first, I keep getting 5km and 10km lol
