Pokemon GO! (2016)

Fine on my OPX, but then I think a Snapdragon 801 is a fair bit faster than your 615. Does stutter if the phone gets too hot though, which in the hot sunshine with a powerbank plugged in happens more than I'd like!

Heh, yeah, when I'm walking around charging my phone it crashes a lot more since the weather+charging+game+gps makes the phone overheat, so I have to charge a little at a time to stop the phone getting too hot and making the game crash :D.

Found a 615 Eevee the other day, checked it's IVs and it's 100% :D. That'll make a good Vaporeon when I get the candies for it (just used them all making Flareon and Jolteon for the XP since I already have a Vaporeon).

Damn, I would really love it to run smoothly. I thought it was just the software, but apparently not :p Not really willing to upgrade phone just for it tho.

Even with my 6P when it gets hot I start to notice lag (which makes mass transferring a pain).

Would be nice if there was an option to replace the 3D models with 2D ones to reduce rendering load. Someone on Reddit did a nice mockup of a 2D mode: https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/4sjjh6/quick_mockup_of_a_battery_saver_mode_id_like_to/

Also caught a 655 Seaking at the local lake on the walk aswell

Still no Pikachu :(

That's cool, surprised there isn't an option I guess.

Presume you put the battery saver mode on in the settings?

Yup but honestly all battery saver does is turn off/dim the screen when it's upside down :p. It honestly doesn't do much.

EDIT: Another option which I saw on Miitomo, battery saver mode on that limits the framerate to about half of what it usually runs, which does help with the temps.

SNIP

Annoyingly a Google company has a better app on iOS. On my iPhone I've noticed 0 lag at all, even when the phone is hot, on my Nexus 6p even when the phone is pretty cool the AR camera for example will always be choppy. I've found disabling AR has fixed any sort of lag though, and its easier to catch things while your wondering around as the direction your facing doesn't matter.
