Police Interceptors!

I turned it off when in one of the episodes the commentator said that the interceptor cars do 2000 miles a week - over 100k a year in a Scooby or Evo they must be joking, do they think they're sales reps or something?

Ermm, they probably do.

So a cop is on duty and driving all day. The cop's shift ends and the next guy takes over until his shift ends and then it's onto the next guy etc.

It's not just one guy who owns the car who brings it to work with him.

I do like the programme, catch it whenever I can! I love the people who give the coppers grief and then get really upset when they arrest them, or give them a hard time!

If you want the police to deal with you nicely, BE NICE! Drop the attitude, and you will be on your way with minimum fuss.

if the car is used on average 20 hrs a day (betwee 2 or 3 shifts) 7 days a week thats an average of only 14mph...

They had both those cars up at the V festival last time i went. They sit one on the old A12 and the other on the roundabout with the church on next to megabowl. Nice guys though, we were chatting to them. I'd never seen the show so I didnt realise they were "those" guys.

They had most of the interceptors (could actually have been all) down at Stansted when Obama visited the UK. I was quite impressed when I saw one of the Evos for the first time, less impressed after seeing the rest of them as well shortly afterwards!

Doesn't work when you get an ass for a copper :(

'I'm trying to get them comfortable'

'If they were meant to be comfotable they'd be pink and fluffy'

LMAO.

I have a question regarding the man contemplating suicide in episode 3: Would this be regarded as any form of offence, due to the cost of the police effort and motorway closure induced by such an act?

You'd think the narrator would be able to correctly identify the cars considering how much he bigs them up.

"Biggers is out alone in the scooby". Moves into interior view and you can quite clearly see the Mitsubishi logo...

Watch all three late lat night.

Re the "ambulance" guy. I'm 99% sure using blue lights on a public highway on a non emergency vehicle is an offence, yet they didn't throw that part of the book at him.
