I put a lot of time in to multiplayer Red Alert 2\Yuri's Revenge and Generals\Zero Hour. I couldn't possibly choose between them, although Generals definitely had me frustrated far often with its capacity for nuturing lame tactics from your opponents.

*Sigh*... Ah, them were the days. I don't enjoy gaming much anymore.

I'd recommend getting The First Decade. Only a few quid and everything's all patched up for Windows XP/Vista/7.

It's not all patched up for Windows 7. There are still issues with it.

Wow, this decision os difficult one to make, I love Tiberian Sun, but also like Red Alert 2 and the classic C&C + RA are amazing too.

I don't think I could choose one that is stand out for me.

For me the series stopped at Generals. Never really got into the games after this even my mate who is another die hard fan never really liked games after Generals.

IMHO, this is one game that is ripe for a good old fashioned 'reboot' to proper 2D Isometric viewpoints.

Red Alert 2 was the height for me. Played through it quite a few times over the years.

I did enjoy Generals a lot as well. Never liked any of the Tiberium games really.

Tiberian Dawn. Awesome music, hot news presenter with the jugs at the end, the awesomeness of witnessing an Oblisk obliterate your army in seconds, and of course the stonking great Mammoth tank in all it's glory.

Red Alert because it was the first rts I played, first network game I played and first game where I could easily design my own maps (and enjoy doing it at the same time). I remember paying £100 for extra ram for that game.

Command and Conquer: Red alert + Counterstrike and The Aftermath.

The first one I played and definatel;y still the best. They need to release a new version with a new engine that works with no crashes on modern day graphics drivers on Windows XP/Vista/7, but that still keeps the same graphics. It could also do with better AI and Steamfriends support (and maybe the odd achievement if the developers get bored).

I think they'd be onto a winner with that, probably with the same treatment to the original C&C as well, with better AI and a Skirmish mode.

I like pretty much all of them up to Generals but Red Alert and Renegade would be top if I had to choose since RA was my first C&C game and Renegade was my first on-line multi-player game.

Definitely Red Alert + expansions, those games were truly awesome. If the controls were a little more modern I'd definitely play it regularly :).

Red alert 2 and generals were also both good games.
