its exactly BECAUSE I've owned several AMD cards that I had no qualms about buying Gsync :D
Tbh i only stick with nvidia cards out of being so used to them. Same with motherboards, usually asus. Currently got an msi as it was part of a cheap deal for the board, cpu and ram. Finding it a bit different tbh.

The main drawback, is that you're limited to what monitor you can buy.

I ended up with an Acer XB270HU, which was a bit of a gamble.. As many people have stated quality issues. But a couple of months ago, if you wanted a 27" IPS 144hz g-sync monitor, it was that or nothing or wait (something i wasn't prepared to do)... So i went ahead and took the gamble, and got lucky.

Didn't go with the ROG Swift cos its a TN panel...

Also ULMB, for whatever reason it ghosts my mouse, so i turned it off after 'testing' it for a few mins never to be turned on again ever. and turned g-sync back on.
