Really change the government? Too bad all the actors are garbage level politicians. I'd infinitely enjoy a country that lived with constant coalition, at least it wouldn't constantly be going back over policies to erase every 5 years, without any methodical/scientific approach at all to seeing if the policy was sound... nope just delete it, put in our one and hail it is gold.

of course youwould.

you dont think the lab/lib/green coalition would not rewrite everything the ukip/con/whoever coalition wrote?

or that it would even be a fluid evnironment? you cant market that to people so it would become "fixed" groups each time

This isn't hypothetical. Most developed countries operate on a coalition system and what you describe is simply not what happens.

did most of those countries raise their populations on decades of FTPT two party elections?

cause if not their voters are going to be in a very different frame of mind.

uk voters will boil every thing down to a two party system in their head.

We would get used to it after a few votes. Of course to begin with people will vote on the old basis. We need change.

You can still vote red even though he is not in charge. :D

It's a completely different offer on the table - one that I think is both too good to be true, and completely undeliverable. At least Ed's stuff would have been achievable to some degree.

I certainly don't think Mr C deserves the chance to carry out his pledges, the cost of failure could cripple generations.

Two weeks ago I'd have said this would be a landslide for may but the more she and her bench speak the worse it all sounds .

The more I see corbyn calmly dismiss the constant smears in interview after interview makes me actually like him too.

Even if I don't agree with everything I agree with more and more

Local labour candidate is still awful mind...

Corbyn will **** up any blip in the polls and then drunken junckher will bumble into a May boost...

Regardless...

"He should quite clearly state that he has no links or alliance to the provisional IRA, that his loyalties lie with the men and women of this country who went to Northern Ireland and fought terrorism.

"I think he's an odious individual, the young people who are voting for him need to know his past, he not only courted the IRA but supported them, young people today do not know about this.

"To have him as our head of Government, to stand at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday, to lay a wreath of poppies, would be an abomination".

More Telegraph smear campaigns.

A paper owned by the billionaire Barclay Brothers who will obviously stand to lose money under a labour government.

Sir David's son, Aidan, manages their UK businesses. Their businesses have been accused of tax avoidance, by placing assets under ownership of companies registered abroad and controlled through trusts. Their Press Holdings company owns The Business and The Spectator magazine. The Telegraph Group Limited titles are controlled via a wholly owned subsidiary, Press Acquisitions Limited.[4]

In 1993 the brothers bought the lease of the island of Brecqhou, off the coast of Sark, one of the smallest of the British Channel Islands.

The problem is that this guy seems to like making stuff up

"but he has never once condemned the atrocities that the IRA has committed."

Jeremy has repeatedly condemned all the violence, his accuser clearly has an exe to grind over it and refuses to tell the truth about Jeremy. Sad.

Yep three newspapers account for 80% of all the negative press on labour.

Where has he specifically condemned the IRA?

Where has he specifically condemned the IRA?

Today in an interview with Sky he said: "I condemn all the bombing by both the Loyalists and the IRA."

I think you do the people of this country disservice. EU elections have used a form of proportional representation and people have had no problem voting for parties outside of the traditional big two.

Hahaha - absolute car crash - my original post and specifically the bold bit stand. Unbelievable.

Weasel words - what a ****
So he condemns the IRA like you asked and you still don't accept it. Not really about that for you then ?

Here's some links to the IRA from people actually in power:

I'm sure you'll blow these off as well.

Unbelievable? He's literally condemning the IRA violence.

You know, it doesn't make you big or tough to still hate the IRA to the point facts don't matter, in fact, it's kind of pathetic. Only a very small cowardly man would attempt to take up the mantle of a mostly long ended war. Here we have a man who fostered peace and put an end to the violence despite condemnation from both home and away, that's really bravery. Someone who deserves to be laying wreaths to the people who were killed by the violence he condemns.

I think you are massively trying to over compensate by insisting on a link between him and the IRA, is it because you never got to fight anyone yourself?
