How sad

Well, that is the only reason yas786/craterloads have to troll this thread, he still has his blatant mod immunity too. It's all right for someThat's a completely different thread, no one in this thread has mentioned muslims.![]()
("compassion and pity")I am reminded of Francis of Assisi who said how can we treat man right, if we can not even treat animals correctly.
In best pantomime style, oh yes they did in Post #15: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=25815190&postcount=15
The link was to show how clever I am at spotting social trends![]()

So we should all be vegetarians, or only eat animals that died of natural causes? I'm pretty sure there is mention of eating meat in the bible somewhere...
Like that poor fish.

The life of this giraffe was no different to that of cattle and it's life has been easier than if it had been born in the wild. Indirectly some people are aiding it.

Ladies, handbags away please.
I don't get what the fuss is about. This happens to animals day in and day out across the world... the only reason people seem to be concerned is because its a giraffe.
Would any of you go as far to say that taking your children to watch the giraffe being skinned, autopsied, then fed to lions, verges on bad parenting?
Needs more context. Admittedly some children (and indeed parents) might be upset - maybe even a bit traumatised. However a more mature child who is into science might find it very interesting. Plus there are plenty of ghoulish types out there that have become hardened to such cruelty by their diet of reality TV game shows.
I will always defend any point I make, you don't. In every single thread you just leave. Compare your debating style with say Castiel or Elmarko and you might understand my irritation with you.Fact is bitslice trying to engage into a debate with you is near impossible as you conveniently ignore the post or better still ignore the proof in front of you when someone challenges you.
Tuppy pointed this out, I conceded the point and retracted the comment (go look at my post). You were called out in this thread for undermining your own point
Depends on age, children need to know that food does not come in little trays covered with clingfilm. Besides they used to have to dissect a mouse in Biology, probably banned by H&S now.Would any of you go as far to say that taking your children to watch the giraffe being skinned, autopsied, then fed to lions, verges on bad parenting?

There is something to be said about picking and choosing the best place to spend your limited conservation budget on areas which will make the greatest impact. If another dozen species go extinct because we are spending so much time and money on pandas is that really a win?
