'Popular' games that you don't rate

Gears of War

i like to run and spray my weapon, not hide behind walls

You dont have to hide behind things?

I think the GoW's cover system is great, especially since they've fixed "sticking" isues with the new patch.

Really? What's changed?

Well it was very easy to get stuck to things, running beside a wall for example you would instantly get cover on the wall, fortunately this doesn't happen anymore which is great.

I think some games I dislike are perhaps because I wasn't in the right frame of mind when I started them and never picked them up again.

Final Fantasy
Rainbow Six (Games have sucked since Rainbow Six 3 / Black Arrow multiplayer wise)
Ghost Recon (GRAW1&2 don't compare to Ghost Recon 1 online on Xbox)
Zelda
Mario
Tekken
Metal Gear Cutscene
Forza
Gran Turismo

Left out Halo because Halo 2 online was the only decent thing to rival Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six 3's online, on Xbox.

Also left out Gears because it was the first online 360 game I actually played for more than 2 weeks.

Zelda - played WW, and the princess one, have to say, absolute drivel storylines, really wanted to 'get' zelda, and failed miserably, hated them.

Counterstrike - go online, get shot within 0.01 seconds, rinse, repeat, total cack. Oh, and wait 3 hours to get re-connected to some server, happy days.

Burnout Revenge - or any burnout come to think of it. Race around for a bout 3 seconds - crash...after a weeks practice, race around for about 5 seconds...crash...complete pants.

Gears of War - Reviews 90+% all over? gotta be good...erm, it must be a conspiracy, clunky gameplay- hang on, what gameplay? there is none. And the breathtaking visuals? i finished the game, and still waiting to see these amazing graphics, is there a hidden few levels that look totally different in there somewhere?

Final Fantasy - played a few of these over the years, each time thinking, surely, this latest one can't be as bad as the last? Wrong, they're all as dull as dishwater, every one of them made me want to climb in bed with me girlfriends mother, shocking.

Metal Gear Series - had a few tries of these, you read the reviews and think, aye its gotta be great. then you start them, well you think you do, but really, its 3 weeks before you find any gameplay in amongst all the convoluted cut scenes. The bible condensed its story down easier than this

Odd, because all of those are in my top 20 games of all time.

As for graphics in Gears of War, you must be blind cause they are the best graphics ever produced in a game using the highest quality techniques and standards, defining it as a real next-gen title.

I agree.

While the quality of the gameplay in Gears of War is subject to personal opinion, it's an undeniable fact that the graphics are outstanding. I struggle to understand the logic behind saying otherwise.

Yeah, as bland as i though GoW was (i need a story damnit) you really can't take anything away from the looks. GoW is the posterchild for the Graphics Vs Gameplay debate.

FIFA football series of games, never liked their control method for players and I often preferred the PES series.

Final Fantasy as I never liked the combat style in the game, might've been due to the fact that at the time I first played them I was too into FPS games.

SWG, tried on initial release and every combat upgrade the game just felt so boring, even if it was Star Wars. As for the introduction of Jedi into the game the less said about that the better. Shame what they did to the long-term population in it though.

its strange because i always thought the gameplay in GoW was good. the cover system, active reloading, level of gore and coop were all very good features of the game imo

are some of the people posting in here on the 'its got good graphics so it must have **** gameplay bandwagon' ?? :D
