Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

A lady walks into a Porsche dealership. She browses around, spots the Top-of-the-line Porsche and walks over to inspect it. As she bends over to feel the fine leather upholstery, she inadvertently breaks Wind.

Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little accident and prays that a sales person doesn't pop up right now.

As she turns around, her worst nightmare materialises in the form of a salesman standing right behind her. Cool as a cucumber and displaying complete professionalism, the salesman greets the lady With, "Hello madame, How may we help you today?" Very uncomfortably, but hoping that the salesman may just not have been there at the time of her accident, she asks, what's the price of this lovely car?"

He answers, "Madam, if you farted just touching it, you are going to **** yourself when I tell you the price."

Is it wrong to want a Macan? :o

As I have one for the week, I happen to really like it. However, one improve I can see straight away is the PCM 4 as its a huge improvement over older versions and very slick indeed.

I'm just about to bite on a 911 C2 manual, 2010 reg will be the most ive ever spent on a car but I'm looking at it as some kind of investment

lol good luck, I can completely see the logic, but I have a feeling we have seen peak NA 2wd manual purity prices for awhile now as the less pure cars get better and better and people get over the changes. (I say as im about to put my money into a manual, rwd, 2 seater NA Porsche)

A ton of people I respect have told me never see a car as an investment, it seems like wise words. Any money made on a car after ownership is then a massive bonus.

QFT!

A C2 is never going to hold the investment potential of a turbo or RS (we've totally missed the boat on these!). IMO the 997.2 still has a bit to come down in value especially as mileage and age increase. Enjoy your car, don't leave it in the garage as an investment unless you plan to make it someone's barn find in 50 years! Buy one of these cars to enjoy incredible performance and minimal depreciation. I don't think these will dip significantly any time soon.

I'd never see a car as a investment but if you buy carefully you can minimize the depreciation aspect.

My cars just had its second birthday a few days ago and its been serviced by the lovely people down at Porsche Centre Bournemouth, I was expecting a lot worse but £579.98 isn't too bad which included a brake fluid change. I must say as I had the Macan S for the week, i've been quite taken by it as its a great little (well may not so little) run around.

The GTS is a fantastic car. The one I had for a day really impressed me, great value, proper quick, fun, all the right visceral feelings. Superb car.

I guess investment wasn't the right word lol, anyway turned out the car wasn't quite what I wanted and was a little rough around the edges (although they did say they would sort out the issues I pointed out) why they would go to the bother of refurbing the wheels for preparation but not bother with a big scuff on the wing mirror and another on the front bumper seemed a bit odd, and the history was half Porsche half indi which to me isn't a major issue but come resale it would look better if all Porsche, it drove nice enough but think I want to try a PDK too, was going to try one the same day but apparently its sold.

Originally I was going to get a Gen 1 until I read about the potential issues they can suffer from so have considerably stretched my budget to be able to get into a Gen 2, so i'll just have to keep looking, my budget is around 35k mark

Hey guys,

I wanted to do get a proper geometry check done on my Cayman. I know of Center Gravity but are there any other similar companies that can do so in the South (Surrey)?
