Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

I don't see any new parts...cleaned up a bit and that's about it.
Neither do I.
Looks like they cleaned it and that about it lol. If there was a new pipe i'd expect it to be pretty shiny and looking new.

Edit unless the leak is/was coming from above and they've changed a pipe up there.
But if a new pipe was above, how could I have damaged it going over a kerb/similar, and how would these infamous scrape marks have happened?!

EDIT - thanks @Dis86, I'm thinking the same.

I'd normally let that kind of thing go but what would stick in the craw is the fact that they've blamed you for some scrapes that simple aren't there and seemingly on a part of the coolant system that isn't there. That just says to me they're trying to treat you like an idiot which is completely inappropriate.

Yeh I agree, I certainly won’t be entertaining the idea of getting another car from them in future.
Just glad I didn’t have to pay for anything, otherwise that would’ve created a fuss!

I think it might still be leaking...

Just put in a lot of water, and then noticed the bleed pin hadn’t been pushed down, hopefully the level stabilises now!

Keep us posted. Sorry you've had such a crappy start with it!

It seems to be behaving, took it up to Leicester for a wedding on the weekend and it performed brilliantly on the back roads - I'm now looking for excuses to drop the roof and just go drive :)

I think a good 2 hour run to somewhere like Worcester would be a good idea ;)

I do want to go, but we've got dinner plans and I'm not sure if I'd be back in time :/

I find I frequently have to pop out to buy tooth-paste. Or just to have a look at that hill that's 50 miles North. You know, those urgent things.

4.0 414bhp flat 6 apparently (for the GT4)

This, will be an epic car, good luck getting one for 75k on flip side might push the last gen GT4 down in price a bit in a year or so once the inflated prices for these end and they hit used market in a year or two time.

Oddly I have no interest in this new GT4, it’s going to be silly hour at the dealers though for the next year or so.

It doesn’t run a detuned GT3 engine, it’s a bored out and stoked from 3lt turbo unit.

Porsche dealers will be buying them up and sticking an extra £10-20k on the list price!

Going to cancel my orders for the new GT4. No extra torque, same gearing, slightly heavier, but 30 more hp. It’ll be an amazing car, but it’s a shame they just bored and stroked a regular engine.

Just not worth it if you own the current one. Price differential will help hold the 981 prices too, as it’s a fair jump for not a lot extra. If I didn’t already have one, I’d be all over it though.

We had a cracking day out at the awesome Glamis Castle Transport Show yesterday and had the first outing as a Porsche owner on the PCGB region stand :)

Lusting a lot over the older 911s, especially the pornographic 993 Turbo!

Enjoy.
