I'll put it up for sale privately, I'll also mention it to the OPC when I go in for the service if I were to see a Macan I liked and what they'd offer for mine but I doubt it would be much - suspect they'd offer less than the remaining finance settlement figure :D

Haha yup, you knows it - we can offer £20k part ex and a whopping 9% apr on the base spec Macan ;)

If you have a GTS get it sold quick whilst they have strong residuals, Porsche announcing that new GTS will return to flat 6 NA may start to impact those residuals in months to come, goes to prove a flat 4 turbo was not what any petrol head wanted and I guess it has shown in their sales figures hence a return to form.

I’m not too worried about residuals, I think the 997 GTS will always be sought after even if mine is one of the highest mileage ones!

Coming up to 81k

As it's not warrantied, then see what a decent Porka specialist can do the service for. It's not like an OPC service history adds anything other than black inked stamp mark in the book, which certainly won't really be worth the additional cost in your case. Unless of course the indy price is close, then go for OPC.

If I was in the market for a GTS type car then a decent indy service would probably be more impressive in my eyes, rather than just an OPC stamp and invoice of £lolz£.

A Macan is nice, but they really arn't that big. Why not just drive and enjoy the GTS for years to come and get a cheap SUV load lugger?

An old 955 Cayenne Turbo would be a very sensible choice ;)

Anyone have a new 911 Carrera with issues? Boss has one, less than 6 months old, been into the garage 3 or 4 times so far. Battery going flat no reason. Second time it leaked! They have had it 9 weeks so far trying to fix it and making sure its actually not ruined, electricals still ok etc.

Think he is quite close to binning it if its not perfect when it comes back!

Thanks mate, but as it's got full OPC history I want to keep it that way!

We don't need 2 cars, trying to see what I can do about the situation though - maybe it won't sell!

Many moons ago I Bought a new panamera for 98k. One year later My ex traded it in for 60k Without me knowing. The next day I tried to buy it back from the dealer. £75k

Yeah they seem to want 20%+ margins pretty much, offered me £11k trade in for my Z4 35iS! Sold it a week later privately for £18500.

New GTS seems like an incredible bargain, if its as close to a GT4 as they are saying, 64k new, not limited so anyone can buy one does this mean in a year or so we will see GT4's finally dip into the mid 50's high 50k region price wise.

Glad Porsche went back to NA flat 6's though, the turbocharged motors really do sound rubbish.

The 981 GTS prices will soften a bit, as they should anyway, but I would suggest the only people 'taking a bath' as such, will be the 4-pot 718 GTS owners.

The GT4 would be too raw for me in either form, but the new GTS would be a nice place to go from my 981CS. Problem is, I've specced my GTS and it comes in at £75K+ without going mental. At that price though I'd be looking at the 991 GTS.
