Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Black or Metallic black lol. My original plan was to get flat black and save the £850 but after creating a thread on the subject I have been convinced that Metallic is the way to go.

White does look nice but I don't want a black interior again

A sunroof would be nice but its small and not worth £1k

The Sunroof surprisingly adds a fair chunk of light to the cabin imo even when the shade is drawn.

Do those options add Paddles to the Tip, or can you not get it with heated steering wheel? The buttons are dire imo.

I didn't know they come with PDK as standard.

Depends on model, hybrid/diesel come with the Tiptronic 8 speed ZF gearbox.

Yep you cant get PDK in the Hybrid.

The paddles are a no cost option but you cant get a MF or heated wheel and to be honest I can live without the paddles but not without the MF.

Shame really, the new Maccan wheel is really nice but not a option yet.

They do look good in black........or metallic black. We went to look at a few recently and whilst the sunroofs are a bit pokey I did like the extra light.

They're an astoundingly nice car but I think having now had a chance for a proper go, my wife has realised the type of car we have suits our family better for the moment so we will may be go Cayenne or if I get my way RR after the X5 we have now. I love the Panamera but recognise it's a bit impractical if we go 1 car.

Anyone recommend a good pre purchase inspection company up north?

In fairness, it has a Porsche installed engine with a Porsche warranty. So just take it for 111 inspection, sub £200 cost as that will cover every other aspect.

Seriously that car is insanely cheap, you keep messing around it will be gone, I've already shown it two mates who are very interested as its like over £5000 below going rate.

GET IT PURCHASED!

Ok, I need to decide by tomorrow, I am now leaning towards white with a black + cream interior with dark wood trim. I thoughts? too light?

Calling Gibbo et al, any thoughts on the following car:

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifi...a-997/porsche-911-997-carrera-4s-2006/3189201

Good points:
Facelift lights
Known engine weaknesses sorted by OPC and under warranty.
Cheap

Bad:
Paint issue - can get fixed
Stereo - is this a known issue?

Everything looks good except the steering wheel. Get a plain one?

I don't get you???

It's thousands below where it should be and your worried about steering wheel?

You can buy a Porsche sports steering wheel for like £500 second hand if it's a major issue.

Haha - sorry that was a comment to House.

I am waiting for the seller to return on how we set up a 111 check

White and Cream don't go.

Pick an actual colour and then the cream will look lovely.

I was a bit worried about that, I thought the black and cream combo may overcome that but you may be right its going to clash.

I love the cream interior but something different to the boring black would be nice also.
