Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Yep Sunday afternoon. Actually my car is already there but I wanted the new reg so decided to wait a couple of weeks.

The GT4 my OPC thinks I will get it in 2016:(

I am loving the 991 at the moment however I would quite like a GTS but at £100k its too much money

Just a quick reminder to watch TG this evening. ;):D

You should cancel the order mate, it just got battered by an American car, we all know American cars can't go round corners so this new Cayman GTS must be a right kipper if it can't beat a yank tank. :D ;)

:D:eek::cool:lol. No chance, she's a keeper. That Covette really is a bit of kit though, even if it 130 bhp more than the Cayman.

With your 5.5% APR did you get any deposit contribution?

As I said they are offering me 7.3% with 50% down but a £2.5k deposit contribution. They are not willing to budge on it at all.

Ask about the friends and family rates as I think that was what I was put on, will confirm on Sunday if required. As I had two quotes from Performance Car Fiance and Oracle Finance both of these came in at between 6 - 6.5%.

However, to answer your question I didn't get any deposit contribution but it was given discounts on other items such as the GAP inusrance, wheel and body work protection and a bit off the car.

Thanks a lot, I gave oracle a call and they offered 6.4% still a lot but better. I will have to think about it.

Yeah but yellow does not work so well on it and the wheels would need to be black.

The spec is however superb but it just needs buckets to be perfect and aero-kit, or in a more normal colour to work.

The price however, we will skip on that. :D

Price is just crazy! thats £25k more than my car, that a Gen 2 cayman money lol. Its nice but not that nice.

Yeah but as we know, options make a Porsche and can vastly change the way it drives.

C2S that have a more driver/sporty focused spec always sell for far more than a base spec in the same car, simply because some 911 buyers are posers and others drivers. GT3's are insane money so they want a C2S which delivers as close as possible to the GT3 experience and ability, a C2S in the right specification gets close. :)

But you pays your price!

I shall be advertising my 911 soon maybe, no idea what price to pitch it at yet, thinking 34k, 2006 car (55 plate), 55,000 miles, FPSH, Boroscope inspection and clean, GT3 suspension, X51 power upgrades, ceramics, custom extra leather interior.

Just in two minds, do I leave the remap, high-flow cats and alcantera wheel/shift knob in it or remove them as sell it stock. I am inclined to remove the parts as they will fetch me over a grand selling them and any potential buyer could be scared away with modifications which are not Porsche parts, so think I shall restore and only leave the Porsche upgrades on it.

That 38k C4S 2008 with nearly similar spec looks like it went. The fact GT3's got so damn expensive has really helped boost the value of my car, at this rate I will lose very little in 4 years ownership, can't grumble. :)
