Yes, it's on PCP and all l being well it should be cleared this year as well :D. I believe the GMFV was around 31/32 odd without looking at the paperwork.

Cool, thanks :) I have my sights set firmly on a Cayman in 3-4 years time, so it's interesting to know what Porsche thinks they might be worth. If you're selling in 2018'ish, give me a shout first ;)

That's an excellent choice, my dealer was telling me that Porsche are normally very conservative with the PCP figures. However, I am not sure if that's dealer faux pas or not.

She's a keep and I'll only sell her for a GT car. :D

I dont like the way they look, I did ask my OPC about them as my rad took a hit from a stone but they told me if I install them and there is any problem with the cooling system they will void my warranty.

Oh interesting, with that in mind then I will leave it. I am just a bit worried about getting a stone through the rad.

Yes thats a problem and the warranty will not cover it. I think my rad has a small crack in it so its due back in to the dealer on Friday.

Don't understand why Porsche don't put grilles on, the rads are so exposed, guess easy cash job for them once the car gets out of warranty!

Had my car in for service yesterday, asked for something with PDK and paddles and received a back to basics Cayman. The 2.7 isn't too bad an engine, not excessively lethargic, but you definitely need to get it wound up to get going, there is very little power/torque low down. Once up thought it doesn't mind being taken by the scruff of the neck.

The car had just basic options except the pdk, which was good, could just feel the sublime nature of the chassis, being easily capable of handling the power, although due to the lack of power, the car was far too easy to drive in my opinion, and just not enough of a challenge! I would definitely consider a Cayman, but it would need to be an S and would need to have a lengthy spec list, as the interior is very sparse and much cheaper than the 911 even of the 997 generation. Still good fun though, put 200 miles on the car in total :D

I've just had confirmation from a friend that he has a order placed on a GT4 and it will arrive later in the year. He was able to get a build slot due to preferential build slot as well....:mad::mad:

I have started to get ideas about a LHD GT3, is it a stupid idea? would I be able to sell it on after I am done with it?

I personally wouldn't buy a LHD car but from what I have read there are more availble on the continent.

On a side note, ive had a invitation from my OPC to spend the afternoon test driving the current range at PEC Silverstone. So I have choosen the 911 GTS.

They seem to be doing very well on the customer service front. :p:cool::D

Im a bit unhappy, we took the new car in for a replacement windscreen (£1.2k:() and it has come back with black marks on the A-Piller (not coming out) and marks on the leather.

I'd be furious.....

Who found it? you or them? Mistakes can happen, but you would expect them to have sorted it before you picked it up or at least come up what they are going to do for you.

Don't you have windscreen insurance ?

Not good. What are they doing about it? Presuming you have spoken to them about it?!

spoke to them on sunday and they have called me back today and said to bring it in and they will clean it.

We found it our self hopefully it will clean out but I think its going to need new covers on the A-Pillers.

Don't understand why you wouldn't go through insurance (unless porsche were picking up the bill or something).

I literally just had Autoglass round to replace mine, thankfully only cost the £75 excess.

Problem with this is Autoglass will use non original prosche screen which causes warranty problems. The screen was only £250, fitting £150 but the rest was 5 hours to recalibrate the cameras that are in the screen.

Holey Cow! What option was that just out of interest that needed to be recalibrated?

I think speed limit display and maybe surround view but I think its the speed limit display that probably chased the issue.

Its a little camera that monitors the road signs and puts them up on your MFD screen in the dash pod.
