I do, except when I was a young person and in the future when I'm a senior citizen, I'll be okay with it again.

You mean every discrimination laid down in statue is. What is actually happening is the opposite. Companies and people just find ways around the law and carry on the same way as before. Straight white males still dominate in every place that matters.

A British Indian mate (17 at the time) of my daughter borrowed his elder brother's ID when they went clubbing.

I told him that he and his brother looked totally different. His response "I'll just have to find a doorman that reckons we all look the same. Sometimes a little racism is a good thing!"

I'm white, male and straight and from talking to people who aren't, have come to realise how often I am not aware of how my "privilege" affects the way I am perceived every single day.

To be fair some protected characteristics are subjected to less discrimination then only a couple of decades ago, but there is still a LONG way to go.

I assume people are of the human race... ethnicity and culture is something I enjoy so the more mixed the better in my experience, makes for a much more interesting and fun working environment, but society as well.

Of course there are always those that make the exception to the rule, but no-one is perfect to everyone else, clashing culturally/intellectually/personally is always going to be a thing, and there's nothing wrong with that. However, people jump on the differences as a an excuse to be less amenable to one another.

Not easy mode. Just easier than if your skin was a different colour. Simple concept, nothing to get upset about.

I look like a toned down version (no out of control Jihad beard etc) of the handsome terrorist meme that went around a few years ago, so this white privilege is almost completely lost on me.
