Possible London Meet - 4th March 06

Hi guys, really good to meet you all. Had a good day and I think I got some gooduns. Shame I couldn't stay a bit later but we'll have to do the evening meet another time. My legs are aching so much after the distance we walked!

I'll get some pics up as soon as I've had a chance to go through them properly.

Finally sort of managed to get my computer running (fingers crossed!) so hope to install the necessary software to sort through my images. Looking forward to that... (not!) (well, yes, but it's just so much work :/ )

Had a great day (perhaps the pictures will tell another story :p ) - but I'm actually surprised I didn't get frostbite :o It was great to meet some fellow forum members in person too - my first OcUK meet! Looking forward to the next meet (around the Docklands, maybe?)

PS. Richard (the tripod Richard) - thanks for lending me your tripod (and by implication, keeping your girlfriend freezing for an extra 5 minutes at each stop)! :D

Morning all - didn't get back until about 11ish in the end - we stopped off at Wagamama for noodles and beer before coming back so I havent sorted through the 250 odd pics yet. Must confess to chimping on the train on the way back though :)

Great to meet all of you - Rich, ranarama, SD (you can photoshop that) K^, xS (Really, I'm not cold!) Bass, jhmaeng and Andy. I had a great day and hopefuly got some really cool pics to show for it. I'll make sure to post them this evening - for now though I gotta go down to the gym for a fitness assessment LOL! Not sure how that's gonna happen when my legs have forgottoen how to work :)

[edit]
jhmaeng: No worries, hope you got some good shots :)

Morning all. Got back around 8pm which wasn't too bad and just vegged with my wife.

It was great to meet you all and had a good day though my legs and left 'tripod' shoulder are telling me different!

Came away with 159 pictures in the end but only looked at them on the lcd - all look sharp and in perfectly exposed - ahem - they will look completely different on a big monitor though :) I won't get a chance to look at them properly till tonight though.

Cheers

Andy

I would like to dedicate the two photos below to RichDay for kindly lending me his tripod (Incidentally, both were shot on his tripod ;) )

Superb London Eye photo jhmaeng.
Thank you :)
Wish I had been able to stay a bit longer now :/
If you were there, you certainly wouldn't - the temperature just kept dropping and the wind just kept getting stronger. I'm surprised that my family jewels haven't summararily dropped off :o (TMI?)

PS. At the time of shooting the London Eye, I didn't realise that a 4-sec exposure will record the motion of the bloody thing - I panicked at first when I saw the photos, thinking I borrowed a duff tripod :o :p
