Possible Middle East solution?

The idea of this thread is this - Given the current situation in the middle east - tension, politics,religion, wars, conflict of ideas, racism etc. Is there anyway out? Can we the people of Ocuk, offer a "possible-solution" to most if not all of the problems in that region?

Assuming you are one of the major world players - i.e you can influnence other big time players, you know the big fish in the little pond kinda thing. What will be your solution to peace? How will you go about to acheive this?

I am posting this here (instead of SC) as a challege to all the regulars in here. This is the thing - GD is often seen as a lesser place for junks and spam :eek:

and often in debate in SC they say things like "oh take that crap to GD"

. Okay maybe it might seem so but not exactly so, hence if we can use this thread to give SC a run for their money and show them we can actually hold a SC-like disscussion in GD if we want.
Because of this, can we refrain from comments like "Nuke it/fire and the other ultimate GD solution to all life's problem" (please).

Dont forget, whatever your plan of solution is will be subject to very critical analysis and thorougly examined by poster (SC regulars....?)

You want a SC style solution, to be examined by SC regulars, without any GD spam?

Why not just post it in SC then?

Too some extent, yes. It can be examined by anybody.

I dont wanna post it in Sc because of what i said - Checking if we can really hold a sc style of discussion in the GD area? Perhaps it will work or perhaps it wont, the replies will tell soon.

No, i personally dont think peace is achievable there...well not ever lasting peace.

Sadly I think there isn't a way of sorting out the middle east without resorting to violence, and GD spam aside, most people I've talked to agree that the only way to be sure is to take off and nuke it from orbit. Seriously.

The only never-going-to-happen solution is to separate all groups and give them their land. I.e. give Palestine its independence, split Iraq into its factions (Shuni, Shiite, Kurd etc). Problem is that the idiots over there on all sides are never happy with what they get. I would be willing to bet all my money that if Israel rolled over tomorrow and gave the Pallestinians all the land they wanted and just left the middle east, withdrew and let a fat wad of cash on the door to help them rebuild, they'd only fight with their new neighbours.

Build a huge fence around the middle east and tell them we'll only let them out if they agree to play nicely. Or if they all end up killing each other.

Then, go to the other side of the world (Mid pacific), and drill a big oil well through the centre of the earth so we can still get at the black stuff.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Swap Norway with Israel.

Everyone form Norway has to move to Israel and vice versa. Obviously a huge census would need to be conducted in both countries. Then jobs and housing etc could be matched as closely as possible to an individuals current situation. Israel would have a peaceful haven and the Norwegians could enjoy a better climate.

quite frankly, there is no solution to the middle east..

even if we did take the GD option and "nuke it with fire", the fallout ridden three-eyed survivors from one area would still be angry with the one-armed 12-toed survivors in the neighbouring area.

it's religion, or rather the perversion of religious ideals that is to blame, so the problem will only go away when religion does.
