I hope this is bogus

I have just checked the £ to Indian rupee rate and it is about 100 to the pound.

That makes the value of each card £780

That would make the decision to hold onto my Titan X an easy one.

I wouldn't mind tbh, I might just keep my current PC as is for the next few years. Then do a whole system upgrade and move to 4K.

The card will not be £780 or higher. It would be financial suicide if that was the case. I'm expecting it to be around the £600 mark or less.

Sorry boom soon as you see some new tech you know you will want to change, and nothing wrong with that :)

guys, who is buying a card, retail, that isn't even out yet, hell it hasn't even been announced yet.... think about it. :p

Looks to me rather crowded at the top end.

I'm not sure a 50MHz bump is good enough to beat the 980 to be honest.

One of my 290Xs with the memory overclocked also has more bandwidth than one of my TitanXs, fat load of good it does lol.

To get more performance it needs to happen on the core, the memory is there to support it. Memory bandwidth can not add whats not there.:)

If that is a retail list,it looks a bit of a disaster.

I doubt it is, they are struggling to sell the 290X as it is even at £230, just rename it and try again will not work, they can't be that stupid.

The 285 is re-branded to 380 for OEM, we do know that, i think the 290 is an OEM only re-brand as 390.

To add to that ^^^ and because of that i also think we have the whole retail branding wrong, i think for retail they will be branded as R9 4##.

It all depends on pricing, but the lower down models (Reworked Hawaii) coming with 8GB as standard and better clocks, will offer a good alternative to the GTX 970 3.5GB and GTX 980 4GB. With the high end AMD cards with HBM targeting the GTX 980 Ti and Titan X.

I think this looks pretty promising tbh, it will all come down to pricing.

One of the keys is what they will put up against the GTX 960. That's the midrange £150 space.

The R9 380 as in the above table will need to be way below £200 for reference versions.

Taken with a pinch of salt but AMD's lineup as rumored is looking strong.

Their 380x could potentially beat the 980.

Isn't the 380X just a rebranded 290X though ?

I have a feeling it will be the 290X/780 Ti/Titan Black all over again TBH.
