Well if they are struggling to get the performance with the drivers, then thats it, it will be slower than the Ti, as they've been struggling with drivers for about the last 8 months! :p

What guru 3d posted basically just mirrors what wccftech have been going on about.

any new tech has that issue you know sli and nvidia with new arc happens there to as driver writing takes a lot of time with new tech.
old tech well thats another matter :p

Losing the will to live a bit reading this thread. And I posted that guru3d link a few pages back, but no one seemed to notice.

Anyways, to cut the ********, Is the current feeling/rumour/conjecture/hatstand that AMDs flagship new gpu is going to be no faster than 980ti and only 4gb. Anyone?

Looks as if that mad looking powercolor card will have ram variants, pause at 1:02 and you can see 2 boxes next to the pcie connector, 1 saying 4g and 1 saying 8g. Vids in swedish though.

Just a thought. If you can only have 4GB of HBM in its first iteration could the Fury X be a 2gpu card with 4GB per chip hence an 8GB card? May explain the high price too?

Id say yup.

Surely these sites are just talking up crap.

I think the only thing I've truly learnt from this thread is just how easy it is to chuck up a 'news' website, post any old rubbish and then just add a disclaimer at the end. :(

i.e.

http://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-300-series-pricing-leaked-expensive-200-series/

"So remember to take these numbers with a pinch of salt, this is tagged as rumor for a reason.

The Radeon 300 series is set to launch on June 16th at E3.
"

so lines of rubbish, a one line disclaimer and then finish with one line of actual fact. :/

Yer, they are the rebrands of the 290X and 290 with the 290 rebrand being 4GB and the 290X being 8GB all GDDR5.

Just pick the rumour you feel most drawn to and go with that.

I fail to understand why amd would go through all the trouble adding in new memory when it brings nothing in terms performance and power consumption over other technologies of today..

I be very shocked if AMDs high end wasn't faster than titanx or 980ti..
They must be something, or I doubt nvidia would even be making the jump in 2016.
