Again I have to say, wccf just make these tables/graphs/articles/etc out of rumours collected around the net.

1) It's not new info.

2) They have no sources.

Unfortunately they get posted the most, because they constantly recycle everything that's out there for clicks.

i think it'll be a good card........IT'LL HAVE TO BE, because otherwise Nvidia will disappear over the horizon.

the GTX 970 has one fault, it's a bit boring, but the MSI Lightning was too much money back then, but the next MSI Lightning 390X ;);););)

the price will be interesting too, the MSI 970 is about 320 quid roughly, so a 390X would be about 400........... but what will the 390X Lightning be, the one to have.............yea' well

RAM will be important too, just look at FC4, even on 1080p

maybe but most 970's overclock good!?, so the cheaper 970's seem pretty good to me

I wonder more with AMD if they are going to make their cards so close on performance again like they did with 290/290x
it didn't work so well for them last time with everyone comparing the cost of the 290x to justify the NVidia prices or whatever happened lol

yes, it's a great card for gaming but quite slow in Daz 3D modelling, it takes ages to load up the screen menu and ages to render an image....you rotate the mouse and wait ages for the screen to respond, i dont know if this is RAM or the fact that DAZ 3D doesn't do SLI, but i'm deffo getting fed up with it.

so if AMD produce a real monster i'm switching back, 4GB RAM is deffo not enough and it needs to be at least 25% more powerful and crossfire too

Thanks for that info,I am trying to help a mate regarding a design and modelling rig:

Would like your input especially about Daz3D as this is the only article I can find that talks about Daz3D in any details outside their forums:

http://www.digisprawl.com/blog/hardware/best-graphics-card-daz-studio-poser-luxrender/#ds

It says OpenGL is used by Daz3D.

interesting thanks, that image of the battleship Bismark looks brilliant :eek:

Daz 3D runs slow but from reading that thread they all seem to, the menu is very complicated to use and massively extensive, it's taking me ages to learn..

you're ok with one woman in HD, but as soon as you load up 6 women on the screen it slows right down and the 970 starts howling like crazy

but it doesn't help that only one card is in use, i dont know how to get SLI working in Daz, maybe it wont

Base spec will be a Xeon E3 1230 V3/Core i7 4770 with 16GB of DDR3. Its just choosing the card which is the problem ATM - thinking of maybe getting a Quadro or FirePro. They were saying they were spending a decent amount of the time doing the designing part.

It actually looks like this once 2D rendered. its a good model. a lot of work gone into it, hats off to who made it. wrong shape tho for that ship, its not quite right.

PS, thats not Bismark, close though, Sister Ship Tirpitz :)

yea it's the wrong colour for Bismarck, her hull looks too short and heavy...needs a bit of stretching there... i think but it's hard to tell

my fav is Yamato ;) would've liked to see her fight Missouri, i had a few models of her, the 1:200 Nichimo was excellent

that is a huge amount of work to build, looks like about a year !!!........esp if you're gaming as well

i think my CPU is the weak link, not enough cores whatever ????
plus not enough RAM, strangely enough it animates movement easily !! so it's most odd............the easiest thing to fix is more RAM

yea it'll need to be a top end card only, esp for Tirpitz

It is actually the Bismark, maybe with the wrong colour scheme.

The Tirpitz had a very subtle difference.:)

I will give you a clue, the difference was about halfway along the hull on the deck (it was something that was totally useless on a battleship and more suited to a distroyer).:)
