Hmm. Just idle wondering - could the advent of HBM potentially mean an end to full cover GPU blocks specific to each PCB design? With the VRAM now so close to the GPU can you get away with a universal/small block? Or will VRMs still be a problem?

It's a date for something.
At this rate I'd be surprised if we even see proper reviews of the Fury on the 16th/17th, let alone being able to own one.

If reviewers have samples, it should be good to go but yer, this release feels like an eternity and if it carries on in time length, I will be recommending people to wait for Pascal in a couple of months :D

lmao people all getting het up about a box. How many of you have that nice box Nvidia showed off? That would be none, it was a marketing tool.

I don't care about a cardboard box. I'm a bit old for that. Just give me a decent GPU for a decent price (sans extra money on a box) and I will be happy.

Not a marketing tool, we don't have it because we can't order directly off of NVIDIA. It's only North Americans that can buy directly off them.

Just like folks in North America can also buy these SLI bridges directly off NVIDIA, but we can't.
