I know what he likes... What the...

What is that supposed to even mean? We are talking about graphics cards here... lol

All I'm going to say, wait and see.
Surpring and slightly disappointing.

The 390X when it shows up will do a few things quite easily

@4K it will be 25% to 30% faster than a 980

@4K in multi GPU setups it will be faster than the same number of 980s by an even wider margin.

@1080p it will probably just trade blows with the 980.

These things are easy to figure as the 390X will pack close to 7 billion transistors (a lot more than the 980) and most likely a proper 512 bit bus.

Strangely enough the same could be said of the Maxwell Titan when it shows up but the only question will be is, will it have a 384 or 512bit bus.

When are we going to get a flipping die shrink.
Then we'll finally see some big gains gains, and 4K gaming on a single flagship GPU should be attainable.

Overclockers are going to love you over the next few months, 4 x 390X's and 4 x Titan II's, You will have ALL the GHZ :p

And wasn't it released that the 390X will have a 4096bit bus or was that the usual lies from the rumour salt mill ?

Dice, you're making that up lol.
Anyway, 390/X is coming in at $529 and roughly 10% quicker than 980.

You heard it here first.

Not a chance lol

The 980 is an easy target @4K so AMD will go to town there and have all the graphs showing how much faster the 390X is at the next big resolution (4K). Even the existing Titans and 290Xs can get the better of the 980s @4K depending on what is being run.

As to the price it will be around £499.99 for an Asus one with a game code and around £430 - £450 depending on AIB partner for one without a code.

The only thing the exchange rate will do on launch day is determine how much Gibbo makes.:D

Is there any indication when these are coming at all? IE - would it be a bad move to be buying an Nvidia in the next few weeks?
