Did they? They said a lot of contradictory things, tbh...

I'd put money on the Nano being 1/2 the SIZE and not power and she miss spoke, it happens on stage. Nvidia guys miss speak on stage also. What was I watching earlier, can't remember, some Swedish guy talking about the Unravel game(forget which conference it was, EA?) and he was literally trembling with nervous energy.

I'd bet on Nano being ultra binned but downclocked, down volted version of the Fury X. It's got a proper fan on it and due to the lay out of HBM pcb's you can get a lot more usable cooler surface area out of any pcb/slot size combination. I'd guess it will be in the 200-225W range and only 15% slower than a Fury X but would maybe run quite hot.

The non Nano will likely have the same pcb and design but the cooler will extend beyond the length of the pcb with a backplate/support bracket that extend the length of the card. It will run normal clocks, higher voltage and be higher tdp.

POwer/voltage/clock speeds aren't a linear relationship. You can quite easily drop 15% performance but significantly more than 15% of the power as a result.

Win for everyone. Great for AMD fans and should give cheaper prices for the Nvidia fans.

Forget point scoring as consumers we need them to be fighting as hard as they can to keep prices down.

Why is that when the Tx has only been around a few months and the 980ti is barely out itself.

Because they've had all that time to make sure they can pull the rug from under Nvidia and they missed a trick, they could have pulled off a serious coup with that move. Chance to sell a Titan beater at seriously cut down cost and they've blown it.

980ti may only been out a few weeks but every man and his dog new what it was, you telling me AMD's top bods had to wait for it's release before knowing what was coming?

What price point is it going to fit into then? The Fury is $549 and the 390x is $429 which gives it a very small window to fit in. Surely it will cannibalise 390x sales?

If it cannibalises 390x sales at a slightly higher price point. there's no real issue is there? Although I suspect it wont as its aimed at a different market (small form factor, quiet (1 fan), maybe laptop?)

Underwhelmed. From the amount of time we had to wait for it I was expecting significant gains over TX/980ti, nothing really to tempt me here.

Have you seen the size of the thing, its a midget compared to 980Ti/TX`s.

If it performs the same then that is amazing from a technological point of view. ;)

Soon we will have Fury on our pockets!! Oh wait? Whats this in my pocket.... never mind me thinking of the Fury again.... lol :p

.

Nervous was obvious and its no wonder a lot is depending on the Fury release.
Happens when your stressed like the high voice from Lisa.
They could use some coaching for presentation.
Call me maybe

Is that including the AIO cooler? Is the air cooled version the same size?

I'd guess 500$ minimum, due to form factor. Esp if DM's theory is correct. In that case I wouldn't be surprised to see it at 550$ - 600$.

But perhaps they haven't even decided yet! Seems odd to release the Fury/X pricing and not the Nano's if they knew it at this point.

How have they blown it. If it's priced at around £550 and as fast as a Titan X then imo it's a Titan beater due to it's price. Nvidia have been working on there Gpu's the same as AMD have. The way you are thinking is Nvidia sat still and AMD have been working all this time. Both companies would have been working hard and it looks like AMD have came to the party with a nice range of cards that can do more than just compete.

Without a die shrink i think you are seeing the very best of what both companies have to offer.
