So much for rebrands.

"R9 390 & R9 390X each with 8GB of GDDR5 and 275W for 4K gaming"

Interesting selling point coming from a company with a flagship 4GB card.

Any mention of if they've updated 390X to GCN 1.2 yet? or does Tonga still destroy it in tessellation performance?

300 series 100's in my warehouse and 390 8GB is great value as it's a true rival to 970 with twice VRAM. :)

So er.. when exactly will we be able to order these? I know AMD said release on Thursday. Does that mean we can order for dispatch on Thursday or will the cards be available to order from Thursday itself? And what time of day, would it be like the 980ti at 2pm?

Quite funny we did not see you whining when the top end Nvidia card was the GTX980 4GB and the Geforce Titan and Titan Black had 6GB of VRAM.

It's pretty much neck and neck with 980Ti at lower resolutions but then starts to tail off at the highest resolutions, AMD obviously haven't enabled the magical HBM memory doubling feature yet.

i dont think ive read anyone else who sounds so utterly sour at this AMD news? what happened? did you get picked on at school by AMD Jumper wearing bullies or something? I thought Lambchop was bad, but you are a whole new level of sad :(

If you have nothing positive to say about the products then i suggest this is not the thread for you my friend, do yourself a favour while you still have some dignity, just slink off and find somewhere else to vent your rage

Deserves its own image shanks.

Forgive me, but I can't keep up with all the hysteria.....Is "the fastest" card in fact just a dual X2 type with 2 'chips' on one pcb, right? So apart from being small and cute, it basically means that like all other X2 cards in history it's essentially crossfire, and will therefore rely on crossfire profiles for all new games and decent driver support?

Good luck with that....

Leaked benchmarks.

Also worth noting that FireStrike is just a simple benchmark scene and won't fill memory with lots of ****.

But FuryX beats the 980ti and TitanX at everything up to 5k I think you'll find. Whether or not this leak is legit though, who knows.

Just beats a 12GB DDR5 card up to and including 4k with 4GB HBM.... not impressive at all  (assuming correct results) with 5 and 8k dropping off... but to take up green teams chant "it doesn't matter as no-one plays on that resolution".

Seems pretty magical to me, assuming its all correct.
