It would be quite funny if its limited to 4GB though - it would essentially give it a similar amount if VRAM to a GTX980 even with compression.

BTW there is some noise that the GM200 is not so compute focussed too.

yea, but it's biggest fault is it's a rebranded 290X, If so i doubt it'll be 50% faster than now, more like 15%.

if it's not a rebrand then fine...but my guess is the one to go for is either a 390X, or better still a 395X2............of course ;)

I wish they'd hurry up
 
the 380X doesn't really need to be a new card anyway, because AMD know that their fanboys will still buy it......old or new ;)

I expect the new AMD card will be better than the older AMD cards.:)

Unfortunately NVidia can not make the same claim.:D

For maxing out games at high resolutions 2 year old Titans are better then 980s, 970s need not apply lol.

I think NVidia missed the bus here unless we are talking about the 970, then it's only got 3 wheels.:p

yea because for me, the 970sli on 1080p is nowhere near the 3.5 RAM limit, I didn't send the cards back because quite simply they're that good

yes exactly, they winged like crazy about Nvidia, then brought basically the same card again...:D

Nvidia fanboy?........ not really, my previous cards were all AMDs.

I was saying it would be funny if the top AMD card only had 4GB ram - I am sure it would do better than the r9 290x but would it win in the vram wars with the 8gb version?

yea in a way and deffo not worth the trade in for me, it's faster but not that much.

but the main point is they winged like crazy about Nvidia, but went out and brought another Nvidia straight away, this means that they're not being honest about what they're saying....... because if you feel as strongly as this, the morally right thing to do is to turn your back on Nvidia.

Like Marine said, some of them will be locked into Nvidia because of G-Sync.
