Possible to get a decent e46 m3 for £15k

I think you are a year late for some of us early adopters ;)

Actually, when you contribute to a website forum for a specific car such as BM3W for so long, it really is fascinating to watch how a demographic changes as the car gets older. Back in the olden days, the talk was all about engine issues, how it all worked, where to get one quickly and the best options to go for. Now it’s all about lowered suspension, 20" wheels, pipes and different lights. Fact is I am just an old git.

its the same with a lot of car forums, even ffoc (focus!) had the same thing. :/

:p Very true - although i doubt ill ever be prepared to drop 50k on a brand new car.

The standard car is good enough for me - people have mentioned getting the 19's on it but the whole 'mod' thing isnt my bag, and that even extends to new wheels.

Your right about the demographic changing though - although theres something quite sad about seeing old men and company directors driving things like porsche 911 turbo's and Audi R8's like i saw last week, on the other end of the scale ;)
