Post count ... or years of service?

I think there should be an internet nobility based on per thousand posts, each thousand equates to 100 x 100gb of internet domain space that can be sold out to low level posters who must pay you to use your domain land.

All owners will be granted the title Sir as well.

You posted this:-

You are clearly implying that those with high post counts only have a high post count because a large number of their posts are low quality ones, aka filler or drivel.

FFS mate ....

i am clearly implying .... nothing

do you really get "everyone with a high post count talks carp" from my original post?

The quality of an individual post is far more important than the post count of the author. High post counts often just indicate a spamm0r tbh.

Neither make any diffrent, It doesn't even matter how you come across. Either it's a good post or it's not. Just because someone has had 20 bad posts in a row, doesn't mean there next one wont be mind blowingly important/good.

I just wish there where more threads you can have a decent discussions in, new technology, religion, conspiracy theorys ect..

That's as there always the same ones, Moon landings and 9/11.

Random comment:

I used to work in Boots as a student, one day a woman asks for toothpaste with no flouride in because its used in rat poison and the government makes toothpaste companies use it because it keeps the populace docile and easier to control.

...yeah i just said no and walked off, if only they were all moon landings and 9/11 :p

I can think of many posters with five figure post counts, who are not spammers and do make a lot of good posts.

so whats import? your length of service, or your post count? and why are some people obsessed with how many posts they have made?

Matters not the length of service, or post count does it....simply surviving the heated dicussions and avoiding that permaban status by page 6 is what it is all about ;)

Your post count makes no difference. Your status makes no difference.

I've seen people with <50 posts engage in an articulate discussion with veteran members and come across as good as them. It's superficial and anybody who thinks that the number underneath their nickname means anything important, then they're deluded and quite frankly, sad. :)

I agree but has anyone said otherwise in this thread?

What a number of people HAVE said is that those with a high post count (and presumably a high post count per day) must be someone who spams or posts a lot of rubbish otherwise their count would not be as high as it is. That is bound to get people's backs up :)
