post workout drink/food

[off topic but why phnom penh...you been? or you from there?]

I'm thinking protein shakes might be the option. As I don't have time in mornings to have a large breakfast. I can only grab lunch. And so dinner/post workout would be next one.

Without the 6 meals a day, having a higher protein intake might be a better idea.

Protein shake at breakfast and evening/post workout? Or is that too much?

Goals....toned and defined muscle..but not arnie style i don't want to be huge.

Wish I had a pound for everytime I've heard or read that exact statement :D

Trust me on this one, there's absolutely zero chance of you turning into Arnold ;)

Protein shakes are very handy and convenient. If you're serious about building some muscle then try some. Fantastic for straight after a workout, great for a quick burst of amino acids first thing in the morning (though don't try and replace your breakfast with it! supplement your breakfast with it;)) also very good for mixing with milk before bed.

If you do decide to try some protein powder then I can't recommend these guys highly enough myprotein you'll save yourself a fortune there over high street prices. If you need any advice on what to get just ask ;)

Whey Concentrate 80 (Euro) is your best bet. I suggest getting it unflavoured see if you can drink it in water, it's got a very neutral flavour to it. If you don't like it then you can always add Nesquik to it or similar.

You can get a 5lb bag for £14.99 from this page and they also sell empty tubs. 5lb should last you quite a while, it's roughly 75 servings.

Use the code MP5500 for a further 5% off your first order;)

EDIT - It's possible to get 10lb for £23 using the price matcher but it's a huge tub. I doubt you'd need so much.

Sly! You beat me to it, Damn you people are you discount codes lol

On a side note, It's probably worth getting the 10lb tub as you get free delivery with this whereas with the bag you'll have to pay about £4 for delivery.

Actually for £20 for a 5lb it isn't too bad when compared to a lot of other companies but even on it's special offer it's still almost double the price of what I use and it's no better.

£19.99 is the price for 908g, the site cons the user. Select the bigger size and it jumps to £39.99.

what about this stuff? any good?

workmate of mine swears by USN stuff.
Then I chage what I say. Even at £20 it wasn't that good, at £40 it's a total rip-off and if your workmate swears by it and recommends it then more fool him. You leave him to believe the marketing hype... you now know better ;)
