Post Your 3DMark2K1/2K3 results here

Well, I think by the time I read this thread you had already changed your sig to show your 9800, so I couldn't see what you'd clocked it to.

I've got mine running at stock. I know it should overclock well cause it's an HIS and they put really good coolers on their cards, but Atitool used to really muck up my colour configuration so I uninstalled it. Basically every time I exited a full-screen app I had to go into Atitool and readjust the colours from scratch. At the time I was on an XP1700 so I figured even if it did overclock it would be CPU limited.
put 9800 in my sig yesterday :p

cant say ive had that problem with ati tool before, had some conflicts before when i was running omega cats though, main thing to check on your 9600xt is what memory it has, samsung 2.8ns chips generally overclock like hell (same ones i had on me 9600pro) there official rating is 700mhz, but most 9600 which have them are only running at 600mhz
could be worth checking out, if u have them and run them at 680 u basically have a 9600xt ultimate

Nah, HIS put ramsinks on them and it's not worth my while taking them off, especially as I'm selling it anyway when my 6800 arrives. Even if I could overclock it to bits it'd still be slow when I enabled all the visual effects available in new games (some of which are sitting on my shelf waiting for the new card to arrive before I install them:p). It's a good card though, I can't deny it handled everything I threw at it with ease until Far Cry came along - and even that I could run at the highest settings at 800x600 (at around 20fps though:p).

Is turning AA/AF off with ATi tool cheating 3dmark? I'm not sure default settings for Radeons because the catylst has AA/AF set @ x2 and not sure about these setting to (Texture Preference & MipMap)

Ok people after many failed attempts to get the tables updated I am now well on my way doing it. As you can hopefully understand this is taking me a long time to do, so please still be patient.

I will be posting interim results during the week until I hopefully have the final table up and running.

Not really one for sythetic benchmarks generally, but I'll run through them when I get a new system. As I have, I might as well post the results.

No ORB links, as I haven't registered my downloads yet. OcUK backed screenies, though.

Specs:
FX55 on an Asus A8N SLI
2*6800GTs (390/1080)
1024Mb OCZ PC4200 (running at 215Mhz)

All tests run at 'normal' settings - ie. the ones I play my games at. No messing around with low quality rendering settings or anything like that.

3D Mark 2001:

Bit of a crappy score really, for the CPU. The memory is holding me back (*hates* tight timings), but I should be getting some better memory soon.

3D Mark 2005:

... I've got (slightly) higher scores from tweaking stuff, but I thought I'd post this one - I like round numbers :p

That's about it, I guess.

My 2 6600GT's beat single 6800 Ultra, you must kill them.

I had an Ultra before. I'm not too far off double what I was getting then - except in 2001 of course.

Not everything shows the same kinds of improvements as the synthetic benchmarks though, and SLI isn't without it's bugs. Still it's certainly a big step forward.

As long as the drivers continue to iron out the little problems, I think it's a good thing :)

New video card

Finally got my new 6800nu 128MB:
8419 on an XP-M@3200 with 1GB RAM.
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=3629553
Literallly DOUBLE my old card's result, but comparing to other results on futuremark it seems about 1000 points too low! I did a fresh reboot before running and I've got the 66.93 drivers, which people on here seem to think are the fastest - what could possibly be wrong?

Plus the thing sounds like a miniature washing machine! And to think I got the Asus cause of the fancy cooler which is supposed to be quieter than others - I can only imagine what a NOISY 6800 must sound like!

Just got MSI Geforce 6800 Standard last night...

With my one and half years old system spec:

Windows XP SP2
P4 2.53Ghz Northwood (533FSB) HT
MSI 648Max (SIS648) HT Mobo
512MB Kington Value (PC3200)
120GB Hitachi ATA 7200RPM

I got 8449 on 3DMark03 which turned out to be better than I have expected because I feared it would score at 6k or 7kish considering my system setup!

Why do you think that the drivers 'don't like your system'?

What about your system do you think they dislike?

Like I said in the other thread, the small difference between your system and mine at the same video clock speeds, with the same drivers, is easily explainable due to the fact that you're running your FX at stock speeds. If you up the FSB speed, and lower the CPU multiplier to match, you should improve your scores. Also experiment with your memory and timings to find the best performance.

You can't compare an un-tweaked system with a tweaked system, and just conlude that a 5% difference is due to drivers 'disliking' something in your system...

You're running the standard OS, and your video cards aren't going to change. The next driver revision isn't going to suddenly do something magical...
