Post your bikes thread

That’s mental! (and very impressive)

How does it compare to its two wheeled counterpart, do you still lean for steering or is it more like a car?

Also if you don't mind me asking, how long was it after the accident that you got back into biking? I keep reading various similar stories and at times it does make me worry about staying on two wheels.

hello mate the trike handles much better than you would think!!
i was a bit worried about corners at first but it fly's round them you would have to be going mad to get it up on 2 wheels lol
i do still lean into corners but that maybee old habits ;)
its ever bit as fast as as its 2 wheeled counterpart if you know hayabusa's you will know what i mean
and it is fully deristricted

Good on ya mate. I usually hate trikes, but your circumstance is a little different. You've also done it in a really tidy way, looks dead smart. I thought that you may have not had use of your legs when i saw the boot straps.

I'd also like to know how it handles?

I hope those zorsts are road legal? :p
lol well spotted with the foot straps theres also a strap that goes round my legs [would do the splits at anything over a ton lol]
the rack on the back is for my wheelchair but i take it off if just out for a blast :D
and of course the cans are leagal :p ;)
ive been riding 30 years so just had 2 have 1 lol

Loving the trike... That's probably the closest I'll ever get to a bike..

Have you any more details? is it self build or did you buy it somewhere?

I want one!

hi mate
i got the bike first then had the conversion done in wales [im in london]
they do all sorts of bikes and they are very good at it [best in the country]

its got fully independant suspension [can be adjusted anyway you want]
its got the gears up on handle bars called klicktronic [red and green buttons on the left handlebar] http://www.kliktronic.co.uk/

dont need to use the clutch changing up allthough ablebodyed people wouldnt need this

i do know of a lot of peeps getting the same on there bike as its a fast gear change
the front and rear brakes are linked so both work off the front brake lever

on the right side of the trike theres a lever that pulls up this puts the trike into reverse on the chain diff [its got 6 gears in reverse so its as fast backwords as forwords lol]
and it can be riden on a car or bike licence
lots of info on the trikes they make and the law on trikes [licence's ect] here

Are the powerful superbikes, 750cc - 1400cc 4 cylinder or 2 cylinder engines?

Most jap sports bikes from 400cc-1000cc+ are 4 cylinder, Italians are often twin cylinder and theres 3 cylinder bikes such as some Triumphs. Obviously theres a load more to it than that though.

Meh that 14 was slooooow.

I remember following you and giving the 6 some beans (not totally ragging it) and you was just about keeping the pace, later did I discover that you was infact only revving it to 5,000rpm in each gear. Kinda deflated me a little did that :)

These are from last year, it's lost the rack and has a pair of carbon race cans (had to fit baffles though-tad noisy!) and a double bubble but isnt as clean!

Nice seeing some twins in here, i got bored with il4's and i dont think this could be more different, would love a litre twin next but cant decide TL, SV, VTR - dont like bum in the air too much as gives me back too much grief so a Monster may do the trick depending on duc reliability issues being true or rumours.

Generally i hate peds for the way theyre ridden and what the riders wear  but did kinda like the wacky racer, much better than gaffer tape that ive seen on several!

Cyclops12: Kudos to you mate for sticking with it, Wicked trike!

V-Twin fan?.

Agreed, I havent looked back since switching over from an I4 to a Mille.

Take a look at RSV's if you want a good twin m8, they can be had for silly money now, a lot of bike for the cash.

Anything twin would probably do! think it started with the the old V four in the pic, didnt realise until i tried the tpot and suddenly went off IL4's, six months later i was happier with the twin than any other bike ive had.

Mille, now thats one i'd overlooked, Hmmm.

This was my bike when I got it, it's parked in my mates lounge along with my other bike and his two projects atm. It's currently mid rebuild as the last two owners seem to have no idea about maintaining or modifying a bike so it was in need of a little TLC :) In case anyone is interested it's a Mille arse end, full micron h/l s/s system that you can see and confuses the hell out of anyone who looks at it.

Very nice, still think the SRAD is a great looking bike. Been seeing a lot more of them on the roads again lately, many with custom paint jobs.
