Hornets are both more powerful and lighter than bandits, with less budget components. I like the look better too, but that would be up to the individual.

As quoted .. Finish and fit is superior on Hornets.. Lighter faster more power and imho a better overal package .

If not cared for Bandits/SV will melt infront of yer eyes (more so on sv) .

If going for a hornet (older model) get a extnded front mudguard to keep the crap of the pipes... End can as the original weighs the same as a small planet and a screen and upgraded headlight bulb .

Persil

Suzukis cost less than the competition partly (mostly) because of the finish. But look after them and the cheaper price can be ok. The hornet looks nicer than the bandit though, as does the fazer too.

Most manfacturers retune their engines for their other models. The fazed does indeed use the R6 engine and it shows when you ride it - you have to rev the hell out of it to make progress.

Even the ER6 and Versys twin is basically the ZX12r engine lopped in half

except they must lop off the good half :)

The two best bikes I've owned. Sold them after getting pulled on the R1 doing an absolutely ludicrous speed along an A road, got off with it luckily but made me reconsider having such fast toys. :(
