Post your bikes thread

lol ok then seems as though once again my taste in somehing is wrong lol :) I really like the angular futuristic look of it ! to be fair though that pic does make it look a lot more angular than it actually is. a couple of other pics

Nope not just you, I've always liked 'em, including the aesthetics. A bloke used to park one outside our office and used to rave about it. And what's not to like- RSV engine, single sided swinger, lighter than the VFR with a lot more torque. Very exclusive too, although I wouldn't like to see the price of a replacement fairing panel....

anyone have any experience ?

yes lots 44K miles and 5 years. best bike ever. great for a day on the motorway or a day in the twistys.... :) if your really serious get your self over to aprillia forums AF1.

I think what I don't like is that it looks very practical but space age. The seat looks comfy, the mirrors look like you could see more road then elbow and the fairing would cut out so much air it would feel like you're driving a convertable. But it has these horrible total recall angles and such a fat body and the mirros are just out there in the middle of no where looking all angular. Its like doing it with a fat bird, nice to ride but wouldn't want your mates to see you on it :D

sweet mate, seen one advertised for about £3500 the same as in my first pic with less than 5k miles on i and really has taken my fancy, ill take a look at those forums though at some point, the only downside for me at the minute is the insurance which is about £500 for the futura whereas my VFr was only £160, however could definitely be a bike I get when my insurance reaches the 1 year no claims stage next july !

Got a new set of levers yesterday, feel SO much better than my standard ones, have been able to place them much more comfortably than what the standard ones, and most after market ones offer :D.

Had to cut the switch for the clutch safey thing as it wouldn't pully depress when I had the clutch pulled in, but besides that, they're great.

This is taken after my very first off... The bike slid for about 100m... Result of roundabout surfing and pushing luck :(

My bike stopped where its stood up and thats my mates bike infront... hhis bike and himself were stood there as my bike was rocketing towards them lol.

I'm stood around smoking with broken ribs and a snapped collar bone laughing about the insane off and my mate is in shock! lol

ags

edit: im the muppet with the mohawc

well im waitnig for my first off it will come :)

im prepared for pain, but more importantly prepared to get back on the bike afterwards ! good look on yer recovery and hope yer riding again asap !

I just don't use it enough, like 3 or 4 times a year and am getting more scared every time I use it (Think that may be getting old lol). The bikes only just gone over 3000 miles but no matter what I do to it, I just don't have that bug any more.

I'm going to put the money into a decent car as I use that every day.

Here's mine, just took photos as its going on the bay soon :(

that looks lovely... shame it's going on ebay :(.

problem is the TLR for all those monster looks is a old bike now that just cant compete with the modern kit about, it would struggle against any new 600 in every way.

here is my old one :(

Oh a lightened and modded one can do very well on track with a good rider! I should know ive had my best run on track against a TLR :D he had upgraded all suspension but would not tell me what engine work was done! think he was abit gutted a 750 got past him :p

Do love the TLR's though, would get one if they were going for a grand lol.
