Heres a pic of my old TL1000s she was a bit of an animal :D had too go tho because of crack in the frame which is common on the tl1000s was going to repair it but thought it was time to move on.

ps. i miss the v power thou.

stock cans ?, you should hang your head in shame at doing that to a TL ;)

lol think it had vipers on it when first buyed the bike none road use my neighbours were not amused when going out at 3 in the morning so went back too stock for a while then crack then sold.

ps. I used love giving it a fist full and setting car alarms off then riding by :D

I kinda agree with Sagalout. A lot of the new tackle that is out there looks very high tech, sharp and purposeful.

But some of them are missing "soul" in my opinion. It's why I have hung onto my first generation RSV for so long now. It's got "soul", bags of it!!.

I look at the new RSV4 and think "Yeah, bet that is a hoot to ride" but there's a certain something missing ( apart from the cash in the bank account to buy one!! ) and I can't help feel that if I part with my trusty Mille that I will miss her to bitz. :)

that looks lovely... shame it's going on ebay :(.

problem is the TLR for all those monster looks is a old bike now that just cant compete with the modern kit about, it would struggle against any new 600 in every way.

here is my old one :(

TLR wins the prize for the most cheesey slogan down side 'v-twin superbike'

Nice one too. I agree a 600 would be almost as quick and way quicker through the corners but I recon I'd beat on a 1/4 mile strip. I do love the way I dont have to thrash it everywhere too :)

WOO HOO! Passed 2nd time round today! Over the moon with deep joy :D
Pick this up tommorow, cost me 500 after part ex-ing the CBR125, bargain with only 12k on it and 3 months warranty!

Congrats!!!. :D

Take it easy out there to begin with. The temptation will be there to give it some serious throttle action but until you get a good few thousand miles under yer belt, ride at the pace you are happy with at the moment and slowly "up" it. You will get quicker over time and there is no need to rush things.

Nice first big bike too, well done. ;)

Nice CBR there.
Here are a couple more pictures of mine:-

Bagluc tank cover is on due to it falling over and dinting the tank on the right hand side.:(

Just put a pyramid undertray on it as well, that tidies up the arse end a bit better.

Congratulations, welcome to a life of bikes :D

I have the same bike but mine is black instead of yellow. Mines a 97 FV and it had 11k on it when I bought it. What year is yours? Get yourself a airblade screen soon as you can :D

Edit: Just noticed does that have a big dent in the tank?

Yep that looks like a dent. Not a big issue for a first bike though. Wait a few months and get past the stage of being likely to drop it at a standstill before you deal with it! It'll probably be possible to get it pulled out cheaply.

Also the exhaust looks at a slightly jaunty angle, although it may be the camera.... again easily sorted though.

Excellent first bike though. In fact excellent bike full stop.

Cheers guys! Utterly chuffed to bits after failing the first time.

Yes has a dent in the tank and crack in the front RHS fairing around the indicator wher eit fell onto a bollard apparently...nice. I plan to put a tank bag on anyway for wallet/phones etc and being honest its going to be a commuting/work mule so scratches and dings are bound to happen.
I wasnt sure if the exhaust is a bit far out as Im sure Ive seem them like this before...

Had a blat on it yesterday, felt very smooth and toight loik a toiger, I ran it from cold so no nasty noises, clunks bangs or anything.
3 month warranty from the shop, very comprehensive too.
Its a bit quicker than my CBR125 :D Not by much though :D:D:D

Heres mine for comparison. But then mine does have a scratch on the silencer so it may be further in due to a drop. Considering it bolts to the pillion hanger I would think you would notice if it was abnormal.

Also notice how much nicer the airblade screens makes it look, bit more modern I think. Plus it cuts out loads of air.
