What does it sound like as a V4?

I notice the new 1.8?tfsi engines have this cylinder tech...being 4 cylinder to begin with I don't like the idea of driving a car that sounds like a 2 stroke motorbike...

Well no, it's not gonna be running on 4 during acceleration is it.

Saw my first 4 series a few days ago, not sure what it was but 90% certain it said 430i on the boot, was at a distance though so may be mistaken.

I think BMW missed a trick in calling the coupe version the 4 series. They should have just called the current F30 the 4 series and maintained the 3 series moniker for the coupe. I suppose we'll eventually get used to M4 but to me it just seems wrong?

All even numbers are coupes (2, 4, 6 and the older 8) so it makes sense in a way, but still will take some getting used to.

I just saw a BMW i3 - interesting indeed and reminded me of the old Audi A2. I didn't think they'd be delivering them in the UK yet (it was on standard number plates but it could've been a press car I suppose).

Sorry no pics as it was driving the other way.

I saw an i3 on Friday, I was driving a Prius at the time, no nod or acknowledgement in any way, nobber. Think they have 10k orders world wide?

I assume so... same as this one:

Been in one of these a few times, interesting to be a passenger in to be honest. But i don't like the noise, obviously there is no noise so the road noise the "wooosh" sound. Rather hear an engine. Extremely heavy though! There's only I think its 11cm of clearance so when going over bumps you do need to keep the speed low.
