Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

Didn't Halfords used to be Nationwide? I used Nationwide on my cheap cars years ago and they seemed OK (this was back in Canterbury so about 8 years ago).

I use a good local independent now.

Really sucks about his car though - thankfully he had the footage! Lexus unplugged my dashcam when my car went in for recall work...

Saw this today and thought it worthy of a pic :D

It's basically an Alpina breathed-on M5 isn't it?
Alpinas are generally very different to M counterparts. Their suspension is usually much more supple (and better for UK roads generally), different engines etc. They are much more set up for road use rather than track use

The engines are both based on the N63 but they are different. The character of the Alpina will feel different to the S63 in the M5.

I would take the Alpina everyday over the M5. It’s better looking, classier, rarer and just straight up cooler to me.

Is the Alpina 4WD? I thought it was based on the M550i not the M5?

It is AWD I believe.

A sensational looking car! I personally think BMW have lost the ability to style cars in the subtle handsome way they used to. It’s all a bit garish now. They could learn a thing or two from Alpina. Especially when it comes to the thickness of the steering wheel!!

Yea it's an improvement but they are still all fugly compared to BMWs of old.

After the e46 they have just all been ugly. I mean just look at the E60! It's like they took every panel from a different shaped car and screwed it all together.
