When you get carried away with the weight reduction..... :p

Used to see convoys of these in South Africa, sometimes up to 20-30 at a time, driving through the Drakensberg to get their cabs mounted. On the odd occasion you'd also see one down the side of the mountains all folded in half. In summer you could bet your bottom dollar they'd have 20 odd passengers clinging on to them too. Absolute madness.

Thought it was an Over Finch-type-thing but can’t seem to find anything about it except body kits and styling stuff and this doesn’t look like it’s got anything out of the ordinary on it, or has it?

I saw a black one of these today, with the SVO badge and quad exhaust, none are factory. Lamps look more like a L405 rectangle too..

Googling finds this.

Funny you should say that, saw 2 of them a few days ago with their nice shiny new bodywork fitted, unfortunately one of them had gone into the back of the other one, hard enough to write it off by UK standards. No idea how he managed it but I can imagine he must have had an interesting conversation with his boss.

I sometimes wonder what the people who drive those sorts of cars might be like to talk to :p

I imagine the sort that would try an sell a story that there's a V8 under the bonnet to justify the quad exhausts or something. You know, the newer version of the person that used to stick an M3 badge on a 320.

Looking on land Rover's website there seems to be no SVR option for the Evoque, I think the owner has stuck it on there themselves.
But why, it seems so pointless. As soon as the dag dag starts the plume of black smoke will give it away, then again depends who they are trying to impress. I wouldn't be able to tell an svr from a none svr but I can tell whether it petrol or diesel.
