I don't get the gold wrap thing, aside from it looking tacky it also seems to undermine things for the attention seeking/show off owner in the case of a Rolls Royce... sure it grabs attention still but Rolls Royce offer a bespoke service and you can have whatever colour you like... having to resort to wrapping the cheapest model in gold would seem to suggest the owner picked it up second hand and perhaps can't afford a bespoke one himself.

(I'm not expert on painting cars gold but AFAIK it is possible and IIRC RR have done it before with a paint containing gold dust)

Well the fella sitting in it was grinning rather amusingly at me when I took the photo, and the wrap was so poorly finished it looked like it was trimmed by Stevie Wonder with a butter knife. I wouldn't be surprised if this was some joke of sorts.

Anyway, today's Chelsea offering, possibly one of the first I've ever seen in the wild:

Thing is this is an 18 plate Ghost. So it’s not exactly a cheap car. Not like it’s an old ex wedding shed.

I've never understood the attraction of G-wagons. They look awful and from what I've read about them are just generally awful cars. Making it convertible is the only way to make it look worse.

It's a rapper/tasteless celebrity thing I think.

I don't get what it's about either, it's just an old offroad car. It's basically the German version of a Defender, their army use them.

There’s obviously something going on with the gold wraps with the stripes on them as on the roller I posted. I saw a convoy of about 8 cars drive past yesterday all with exactly the same. Lambos, Ferraris, all the usual Arab stuff.

I LOVE the Urus. It’s knocked every other SUV off the board for me. All the other car makers are trying to look grown up and professional with their soccer mom cars, whereas Lambo looks like they handed a 4 year old history book of their marque and said “draw big car”, and followed by handing the drawing to their engineers and said “build it”.

Few cars are so free of shackles nowadays, I’d have one in a second if I could.

I think in the right spec it's great, but that to me (in an odd way) looks like they've just picked a vanilla/budget Urus and put no thought into the spec or the colour etc. It might be bright yellow but it's a bit meh imo.
