Don't know what will happen, the whole building is closing, hope it's not demolished but think it's uneconomical to keep to spec
 
If that's the case knocking it down is usually the more expensive option as it all has to be removed and cleanly disposed of somehow. In our building they sealed the ****** in with some kind of epoxy.

I'd have put it at about 2005~ from the picture, it certainly doesn't look recent. But it has aged quite well. It still looks opulent.
And they still go for £50K+ it seems, in spite of the age.
