Post Your Garden!

Was always told apricots were a waste of time in this country. Planted this tree at the end of lockdown couldn't get out to buy a tree so had it delivered - it arrived bare rooted not a leaf on it and in May too - didn't expect it to survive at all but kept it regularly dosed with buckets of water the first summer within a month it came out in leaf and last year it produced its first fruits - left them on the tree too long and the local squirrels stripped the tree overnight! Didn't take any chances this year and picked them as soon as they coloured up - got loads of them a large bowl piled up high with them. Amazing.

Light pruning is ok at any time but, if possible, its best to leave pruning when the tree goes dormant in Winter unless its urgent.
Stone fruits (plums, cherries, peaches that sort thing) is best done in summer they're the exception and flowering cherries are the same. But yes resist to urge to do much with it they don't need it and may even be detrimental
