managed to get a fair bit done in the garden throughout summer, still loads to do in truth, it's a real struggle for time, but i'd like to get a new path laid from the steps, cut back more in the "jungle" as the kids call it, it's an area at the back of the garden that was/is overgrow, a mini forest down there. My plan is to cut it back and make it into a fairy area for the kids, like an enchanted wood.
I did manage to get down there for a day or two and discovered an old path hidden under many years of leaves and mud which was nice.

Really not sure other than a a large patio across garden by house.

Wife wants flower beds. Kids was a trampoline. We need a shed and or garden office.

Saturday we hired a stump grinder.

Well you have enough space for all of the above if needed.

I will say that when i have done my garden I wish i put pipework under ground to automate the watering of the garden instead of just having a hose pipe, this last year with the heat wave half my plants have died out due to how little chance i had to water and an automatic soultion would have been best before to put in before i put a patio/shed down.

Try and put a plan in place on how you want it to look at the end, its a lot harder to go back and sort things out later.

Great advice. We did work at our last house, only a small area and I got fed up hosing it all the time.

We did talk about planning things out today as we will need to get someone in with a digger to level the garden and dig out the patio area. To get in they will need to come in from the back fence so we can’t do fence until that works done.

Something like this is what i would have wanted to do.

Also i would have got a water point at the front of the house, again to save dragging a hose around from the back and would make it easier for things like hooking up a power washer for the cars.

Yeah we got a tap front and back and found a couple of external plug sockets and a pond

Similarly, a few days after moving in I was hacking back a ton of ivy and came across a working IP rated external socket. Not mentioned in the particulars or the survey even though it was listed on the consumer unit.
