Post Your Garden!

Does that Jeyes fluid stuff kill grass?

No, when I've used it to kill moss on a crumbling tarmaced path with bits of grass popping out here and there the moss all died and the grass lived, used a 5lt tin over the full path (100m ish) so it was quite hammered in the stuff

Been in my new place for just over 2 months now and this is what it looked like when we bought it:

I've already taken the swings to the tip and given the trampoline to a friend. The wendy house is next on the list to be dealt with, either sell or destroy! I hate it. I am also planning on chopping down the tall Eucalyptus and thinning the brances on the other two so they don't block any of the evening sun. At least keep them at a manageable height.

My spring task will be to construct a raised bed for veg growing. And of course the obligatory artists impression of what it will look like when finished! :D Terrible photo quality, I admit, but you get the idea....

Wendy house look ideal for eBay buyer dismantle and remove, I sold an old greenhouse there for £80 and the guy came along and took it all down, saved me a job and paid for a meal with the wife.

Yeah, that's why it hasn't been destroyed (yet!). The left third of the garden is shaded all day so it requires shade dwelling plants only but the other two thirds get sun throughout the day and the patio is a right sun trap. So the right is where the veg is going and other decent plants. I am going to get some moss killer onto the grass in a couple of weeks. I dread to think what it will look like when its killed off, not much grass on the left hand side thats for sure!

Anybody any idea if grass will grow back well in constant shade, or will I always be blighted by moss? Bear in mind I live in the NW of England.

Woo! The lovely bonsai tree I really love it. I bought a bonsai tree for my home last year and got some indoor plants but I did not give attention on my plants dew to any busy works so they did not live more. Now I will plant it again and will give him some attention and make it grow up.

I don't have a garden, so here's a photo of my bonsai:-

But let's see your gardens, plants etc.

physichull - kids would love that!

My garden, as of last Summer:

New canopy. Really helps keep the living room cool and a bit of shade for eating outdoors. Feels really sheltered even though it's clearly not.

Somewhere for the kids to cause mischief. Took some digging to get the depth for the play bark!

The garden of my new house, tis a bizarre shape and needs work but coming from a first floor flat it's very exciting and I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can get out and work on it (though the inside of the house needs plenty of attention too!).

Today, finally got out after all those winter months. Mowed, weeded, raked, seeded and treated with 'Evergreen Spray and Feed Ready to Use Hose End'.

Liking the chimnea looks like a great entertaining area and you still have a northern washing line, my wife wants me to create one but she can swivel on her rotary.

What's with the odd bit of fence left on the shed?

Previous owner had it closed off down there for a dog, they are two pieces of wood dug into the ground with fencing on that I didn't bother moving. Actually looks worse on here than it is. Might remove it tomorrow thinking about it.

Here;s a few of mine, currently a work in progress as it's not as level as i'd like, even though you can't tell from looking!!

Started with 4 of these trees, have 2 left, first one was a mission to remove as it was entangled with other tree.
