Post Your Garden!

Taken a few years but we have a large garden that wraps around a corner into a forestry opening. This is the bottom end that was completely unused and just frankly a mud bath. We invested all our time into the top end, such as artificial grass (you can see a small part of it from the picture), seating areas etc so this part was a sad lonely space with dreadful drainage.

We built and extension across it, paving, a side entrance, patio doors (out of shot) a second rear garden access and converted the garage.

Lawn sanded this a few weeks ago and now given it its first lower cut of the year. Plenty of moss to still get rid of and some rolling to do.
Excuse the sides and back fence. Still need to paint the fence and do the edges with a strimmer.

At least its just a wee patch on the fence.. I made the mistake of writing a "message" to the missus then spilling the remaining paint in a flowerbed in the old house so couldn't immediately cover it.
Needless to say the message did NOT have the desired outcome and that "cold spell" endured well after I finally got the fence painted.:cry:

I had my lawn scarified 2 weeks ago as it’s only time he could do it. It’s been mostly frosty so haven’t don’t anything with it yet. The grass has many bare patches where there was loads of moss.

the weather is warming up with highs around 12ish and lows 2 to 5. So I was thinking I may be able to stick some iron sulphate to kill any remaining moss. Then in 4 or 5 days to overseed.

do you think it’s okay to overseed with that temperature range or should I wait longer?

Just read up on my iron sulphate and it says not to reseed for about 8 weeks.

where did you see that? I bought mine from lawnsmith and I think if I’m reading correctly they say about 1 week?

and here says 48 hours in comments

Always conflicting advice.... I don’t want to waste time/cost overseeding at incorrect time.

Yeah weed killer is 4 to 8 weeks I think...

reading about on various websites it seems 2 -7 days is the length.... anyone here got any advice?

also regarding weather is temperatures looking okay? Or should I wait more?

Wasn't sure where to post.....

I'm going to be digging up a lot of mud, clay (probably not soil being a new build), I need tools.

What's best? I want something that isn't going to bed with most of it being clay-like.

Any recommendations?
