Post Your Garden!

About to go to a birthday BBQ at a mates and gave the garden a quick water. Few snaps while I did ...

Small greenhouse the Mrs is bringing on various "stuff"

Everything is definitely taking off, will be interesting to see the difference in a few weeks :)
that's a good way of doing the tomatoes in the greenhouse growbags. Must make watering much easier?

Yes those "rings" are great for watering and being in the growbags (on trays) they can be shifted about until they get to a height they need some training / support :)

Anyone have a rough estimate for getting an outdoor tap fitted. Issue is I am in a maisonette with the ground floor being the other people's property. My garden goes down the edge of theirs then opens up a good 40ft away from my side.

Got the Honda mover back after it required a bit of a service. Downside is the height had been adjusted and I couldnt remember what I have it on so cut it a bit short.

Front garden is looking nice and colourful though.

Foxgloves and Aliums looking colourful out the back as well.

Feeding time.

Wife feeds them during day and spreads them round garden for evening water.

Been busy re-working the rear garden, its triangular in shape, sadly car has to sit there but built some planters and modified the kids climbing frame and threw in some clematis last year and the skimmia japonica's were taken from the front garden and transplanted to the back. Ivy has been there for years. Originally it was just grass really at the back and the garage with small extension which enclosed the garden quite badly.

Plans to put wildflower seed on the front border but is it too late to seed or does it not matter much?

Wouldn't do much harm but it won't be a great display this year. You could sheet the area just now until early/mid Sept to kill off the vegetation and then sow at that time to allow ground cover over Winter and get a good start for next Spring.

Got a sunflower seedling donated by parents 3 weeks ago... From a rather insignificant little thing:

It has grown a fair bit in 3 weeks:

In 3 weeks it has went from 28cm to 54cm high

Apparently it can go to about 3.5 metres however it may be held back by being grown in a tub... We shall see

Yep, I may need a bigger cane:cry:

I found an old drive with some terribly jumpy GoPro footage of me walking two of the dogs (both now sadly deceased, they were great pals, the white Komondor, Archie with his keep clean winter clip, and my wonderfully good natured Russian Black Terrier, Mischka), through the back wood.

It was quite upsetting reviewing it at first, but I thought I'd share it if you have a fast connection. Took nearly three hours to upload....!

The technical joys of being in the sticks ehh?

It surprised me just how much stuff has grown since then, time flies.
