Post Your Garden!

Just a small transformation of the back garden to brighten it up a little.

Fitted artificial grass due to light issues for the grass so most of the bottom end was soil. I am also a lazy gardener.

Added decking as well to make a little lounge area for when I get the outdoor furniture.

Looking much better. Which artificial grass did you go for and how does it feel underfoot?

I actually got it from B&M Called CLUMBER it was £20 a sqmtr. It is really good quality and tough which is needed for my dog when she has a run on it.

The feel on your feet is not as soft as grass but it still feels good and looks amazing all year round.

That artificial grass looks great!

I like mowing the lawns so would miss it. WHat do you do when the dog goes to the loo for a 1 or 2, literally just hose down (once a 2 is picked up) as to not let it smell?

Thanks

Hi,

Yeah try and hose it once a week for number ones and I try and pick up number twos as soon as I can but it doesn't stain or smell and its pretty hot at the moment.

It's a good purchase for me as I'm a lazy gardener.

Added some lights

It runs down to the shed with the light roof in the picture. Its width is hard to make out but its a pretty long rectangular shape.

I think we will probably cut some stuff out and make it more manageable and with cleaner lines, however I do like its established feel. It has an Apple tree and blackberry bushes at the back which are nice.

There's some really nice gardens on here, I'm not much of a gardener but i do enjoy doing it my wife has just moved house ( I work over seas as not seen the new house yet only pictures) and can't wait to get started on my garden, I'm definitely going to be stealing some ideas off this thread :D

Some lovely gardens in here.

Surprised by how many of you have such low (or even no) fences with your neighbours. I couldn't relax in a garden so overlooked and luckily our new rental has a massive hedge to give us privacy.

Maybe i'm just too antisocial :o

Im the same I like a high fence in the rear garden. gives you a bit or privacy

Ive no pictures but this year I leveled the garden we have the now as it was best described as a hill. now were moving and im looking at the new garden and I cant even think where to start... but the house comes first so the garden will be next year job. ill tidy it up a bit, fence it in for the pug and my youngest and get rid of the weeds then the rest will need to wait until next year. Ill also need a mini digger in to level the drive.

Trouble with high fences is it closes you in a bit. Depends on the surroundings though - we had high fencing in our postage-stamp garden in our Bristol terrace - cut ourselves off from the surrounding houses, and it was a nice quiet place to be.

In our current garden (post #125) we have 6' fences near the house, and open two-bar fencing further up, in common with all our neighbours. It gives a good feeling of space. Though they're all fairly big gardens anyway (50m x 10m approx).
