I can see this being a discriminator in the members market
It shouldn't be.
It appears to be no reliable indicator of anything.

well VID is used a lot as an indicator for CPUs on 2nd hand market
which is no necessary reliable indicator of anything either
I really wish the developer, I believe W1zzard, should give a clear explanation on what this exactly means, how it is calculated and how accurate it is at the moment. As I've seen some other guy post the algorithm will be 'optimized' in a next version...

At least people have an idea of what VID means.
No one really seems to have any idea of how ASIC Quality is calculated or ultimately what the score represents or what conclusions you can reasonably draw from it.

I don't disagree - but you could argue the same for VID
we sort of know what it is- but not real ins and outs
All the uncertainty is why I said it shouldn't be used, not that it wouldn't be used.
I believe I have the worst cards here

My GTX 570 says 63.4%but it overclocks pretty well. Got a score of 1365 on the Heaven 2.5 benchmark using the settings in the thread on here.
updated GPU-Z and now my card gets 71.5%
