3xMouse (1 of buttons failed (cost under £10 each so dont blame them))

3xHDD, after 3-4 years heavy use.

2xOptical drives

Never had any ram/gpu/cpu/motherboard/psu fail on me.

I've had fail:

Sparkle 8800GT graphics card, shortly after arrival.
Leadtek 7800GT, twice - 3rd one worked OK.
Asus A8-N SLi motherboard
Foxconn Socket 939 Nforce4 motherboard
Cheap no-brand wireless router

Thats all I can remember recently, I dont have a good enough memory to record everything that fails. I just get a new one and forget about it.

I have had 2 ide hard drives broke, 3 mouses, 2 keybaords, 1 motherboard(It was old anyway), usb network adapter, laptop screen and other stuff.

Getting closer to 100, probably won't make it at this rate... But will update with the information I get when I finally collate it all.

Still most of the responses coming from OcUK.

one Durex condom - lad is now aged 8

You have a USB penis?

Anyway I once dropped a screw on my Geforce 4 Ti4600 which then proceeded to green screen randomly. I took it back to the shop within warranty claiming it was faulty and got a gainward limited edition model :D

Hey I was a student back then!

Haven't really had that much:
PC Chips Socket 478 motherboard DOA
Hiper 530W PSU DOA
DFI DK X48 Motherboard, died after 4 months of use.

That's all I can think of really. A 486 motherboard died on me once, but I pulled the computer apart and it's screws and spares have all been useful since :)

Unfortunately my backup pc is running on the Hiper's replacement which ticks a lot. Hopefully it will last until after I have my main pc up and running again!

It was about this time that i stopped believing the salesman that they did not have a faulty batch...

The dreaded Seagate HD failure of which they have admitted there is major 'do dahs' with some of the drives. One day all was good with a newish 500 g baracuda.....next boot bios just hung and would not go any further. They are offering a free data recovery service and replacement drives Check out there web site if you have this type of drive and update the firmware before its to late. I was to late!!!! Drive has gone to drive heaven but got a 1tb as a replacement from the dealer.

Epox EP-9NPA+ SLi - nForce4 skt 939 board. PCIE Slot died, "golden fingers" card (to swap between 16x + 1x to 8x + 8x for SLi) and the little clip which held down the "golden fingers"

Sony internal Floppy Drive - DOA

Antec 900 - the clip holding the power switch broke and it fell into the case.

Inno3D 7900GS - gpu or memory went duff, horrible coloured lines and artifacts appeared.

Seagate Barracuda 7200 80GB IDE hdd

Cheapass Acer optical mouse (mouse wheel broke)

Logitech G7 (mouse wheel broke)

Corsair 620w modular PSU (came home one day and it didn't work, no smoke no bang no nothing)

About 4-5 keyboards of various types (my fault for being a spilled drinks demon)

2-3 Cheap desktop microphones

2-3 wifi usb sticks (one of them an expensive Netgear one)

And if we aren't talking just PC hardware:

Creative Zen Vision: M 60gb x 2 - gravity + spinning HDDs do NOT mix. On another note the HDD ipods I've dropped have all been fine...

One Crucial Ballistix PC-8500 2gb stick
Seasonic 520w PSU (blew up, twice, switched back on after the first time :O)
2x 4870 (one powercolour, one sapphire)
1x el-cheapo mic
3 DVD drives, think pioneer was one, LG were the others) but think they burnt out after being used continously

Also had a Silverstone Decathlon 1kw PSU that arrived faulty - buzzed like mad at idle and when tested the 3.3 and 5v was out of spec.

Think that is it so far. Will post in other thread as at work atm and be hassle signing up right now

an external 750gb maxtor hdd, just no power to it. if you leave the power switch on occasionly it would just spring to life and run absolutely fine until you turned it off then it would be dead again for another few months. dunno why its still sitting on my desk. probably the enclosure rather than the drive that is faulty
