Heres mine (with rubbish pic)

SDC10197.jpg

To the left is my pc with 24" DGM monitor (my pc is also hooked up to my tv)
50" Panasonic PZ80
PS3
XBOX360 (hidden on top of my pc)
Wii
samsung V+ box
Cambridge audio 340A amplifier
Cambridge audio Dacmagic 2 (Early 90's version but still decent enough)
Cambridge audio CD4se
TDL studio 10 Floorstanding speakers (o.k. for £99 new)

Its a little bit untidy at the moment so will need tidy it all up a bit. I actually took the fire off the wall and built that little unit to go into the fire place. The virgin cable box was about an inch too wide to fit in so is on top of the amp. All the cables to the tv are buried in the wall.

Just getting settled in my new (rented) house. New additions since last time are the speaker stands and the TV which was a bargain at 289 squid just after xmas.

Unfortunately due to money issues i've been forced to move home again for a little while. The upside is it means i get to play around with my dads recently upgraded hi-fi which, while it's not difficult, blows away my own setups:

ATC SCM100ASL speakers
ATC SCA2 amp
Marantz SA-KI Pearl CD player
Linn LP12 Deck (about 30 years old, but it's got a new cartridge which apparently makes all the difference, i know nothing about vinyl )

Gloating post? In a way yes, but keep in mind i'll never be hard working enough to afford this sort of setup for my own, and using it has just made me realize how utterly naff my stereo is :(

Will update with pics in a bit.

That's the biggest Valentine's card I've ever seen :p.

It's a normal sized card, it's the rest of the room that's tiny!

I'm really pleased with the Uniti, I went from a much more expensive Naim system down to this and I don't regret it. I was a bit skeptical about moving to streaming files however now I have ripped all my CD's I'm sold on the idea.

Old system with a slightly higher box count:

Get those damn pictures up or I'm going to campaign for your banning off this forum for inciting a riot :D:D:D

Looking forward to moving up from passive to active ATCs in a number of years!

Update: Centre channel, bd drive for the htpc, 2nd ps3 (bc) for ps3/2/1/nes/snes duties.
Had to do a ghetto tv stand due to the massive centre channel taking up so much space, it's now sitting on a 4" tall wooden box. :D Also can't quite believe the difference a centre channel makes, far more than adding rears.

Also took some time to pad the htpc case insides with acoustic foam, can't hear it unless you put your ear on the actual case itself. Which means it can be on 24/7 without bother. :)

Still waiting on a BK Monolith in glossy black. Can't wait but till then, the RX8's are pretty good on bass duties for films and music.

After finally getting my camera back, here's the pics promised. It's quite depressing when you actually examine the equipment under the harsh light of a flash, loads of cat claw scratches in the wood of the speakers and decades worth of dirt on the deck :p

Speakers with the cover taken off one cos i think they look prettier with em off (though due to previously mentioned cats, they stay firmly ON 99% of the time)

Couple of the amp, cd player, deck, headphones and a cheap radio:

It sounds very, very lovely in action. I very much hope to one day be able to justify a setup like this for myself.

Excellent.

ATC sspeakers just look soo generic and boring tbh, but that doesn't matter. As soon as you pick them up (/break your back) or listen to them with a well recorded album, then aesthetics really don't matter anymore.

They really are wonderful to listen to. I quite like the understated look tbh, though the new 'Anniversary Edition' of the SCM100ASL's does look a bit different and is stunning for it. ATC are also an excellent company, my dad rang them up to ask if the AE ones were worth upgrading to, they said not for the cost no, but they'd happily upgrade the domes/components inside to the same spec for a fraction of the cost if he drove them over to their factory (as opposed to courier, which would have been very expensive given their incredible weight)

They even overhauled the amp and only charged for parts.
