Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

I don't know if thisa setup is any good or not but I like it:

LG 32LH3000 32" LCD Full HD TV (firmware hack done so it plays DivX and MKV through rear usb port)

LG BD-370 Blu-Ray player (DVD region free hack done)

Sony STR-DB870 Surround amp

Sony SA-WMSP3 Active Subwoofer

4 x Sony SS-MSP2 Satelite speakers

Sony SS-CNP2 Center Speaker

Like I say I don't know if it is good or not but it's way louder than we would ever turn it and the sound quality seems excellent

Been on with sorting out the setup today trying to tidy things up a bit:

Hopefully get the wires chased into the walls tomorrow, if not it will be next weekend. Also get my leccy mate to move all the sockets down behind the cabinet.

New house hence the bland colour scheme! Another 6 months will add a bit af colour!

Finally moved out of the shared house into a lovely 3 bed semi-detached house with my girlfriend.

Can have full reign of the front room and have my gear set up exactly as I want. Only moved in on Friday so the place is looking a little untidy, but I have the front room pretty much how I want it for now.

Just need some stands for the rear speakers which I'll hopefully get in a few weeks.

Not really used the system for much apart for music while unpacking but I love how these speakers sound in a big room. There's a centre speaker and HTPC on the unit under the TV.

havent updated for a while, last post in here i was living out of a box room..

anyway, have much more space now!

concidering it doesnt break the bank, the tv is quite old now (pioneer pdp-436sxe) and the JBL control 1's are pretty cheap its a nice looking and sounding setup :)

Decided to sort out all the wiring last night since i've upgraded a few things and just plonked it on my stand when i got it :p

Looking good Andy, Monkey looks disconcerted with his new surroundings.

He used to be sat on top of the right speaker so I'd imagine he's a bit happier at not being vibrated half to death.

Looks good that Andy, where abouts in Bolton have you moved to?

About half way between Bolton and Darwen. Finally got out of TalkTalk :) Started my new job yesterday.

But what, you say about the old tv, well I have a little room in my bedroom, not decided where to put it but it need to be on something taller.

Do I go for bottom of the bed

Or slightly to the side.

Decisions decisions.

To the side, I'd be worried about kicking it accidentally over if it was at the bottom.

Though personally I wouldn't have a TV at the foot/side of a bed, I would end up falling asleep while watching. :p

Grats on the new samsung what model is it? Also, those cables are attempting to go awol on your downstairs setup. :D

Nice cable management alexisonfire, puts mine to shame but it really is impossible to manage a sea of cables!

Yeah good point, just need to buy some extension cables.

Been there, done that. :D

Ha the cables are not finalised, I had just one hour at lunch to setup/test, I was like a big kid. They will get sorted properly this weekend, damm curly Cat5e cable.

The TV is a Samsung le46c650. Very happy with it so far.

How did I know that the curly cable was an ethernet cable :D

TV looks nice. Do you find yourself having to sit further back as it's so much bigger?

Howdy, I bought an LG tv (not your one) and been confused with the myriad of guides showing how to hack it. Could you maybe link (or email me, address is in trust) the one you used. Cheers.
