I just pulled the trigger on a second BK Monolith DF. Pics will follow when it arrives ;)
A second? :eek::D

Are you aiming for the stock model or the beefed up 500w + lab 12"?

Have to say I love how loud/low they do things but I've been considering a move from the 300w to 500w. (room acoustics can't handle 2 massive subs)

Do you not find it loud enough or are you just looking for symmetry? :p

It'll be a stock DF model. The + goes louder but not quite as low and volume isn't the real issue. Twin subs gives a much more even response and at the higher end of the LFE range (80Hz upwards) I'm able to identify the direction of the sub - with a pair this will not be an issue.

Symmetry is also a positive aspect. Anying at gets extra WAF is a bonus, even at 450 quid lol :)

Finally it'll be a bit of an experiment to see how two subs can improve a system, I've taken frequency response measurements with a single sub so it'll be good to see how two compares.

Awesome setup EVH, especially the tower with all the kit in it, but by god does it look depressing. What's with the single photo under the TV? Is it to prove people live there or something? :p I'm sure it's fine and dandy when dark playing a movie, but perhaps a few more homely items (or some colour) wouldn't go amiss!

Will hopefully be able to post some pictures in here myself soon. New TV arrived today and need to move the B&W's in from being stored elsewhere. Need a new receiver too. TV looks superb so far, though I'm trying to hold back on the full blu-ray experience until I can get my speakers in.

- Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 front stage and 10.CS centre, mounted on Atacama Nexus 7i stands with cable tidy holes (filled with kiln-dried sand, gel pads under speakers and carpet spikes on the base).
- Onkyo 605 amp.
- Virgin Media V+ box.
- Q6600 & 5770-based HTPC.
- Sennheiser HD555 headphones + desk stand.
- LG 42PQ6000 TV.
- Logitech Harmony 525 remote.
- X-Box controllers.

Almost everything was second hand, home entertainment on a budget and I'm very happy with it. Just need a subwoofer now.

Had mine a wee while now, really really happy with it!

Samsung LE40B550 40" TV
Samsung BDP-1500 BR Player
Sky+ HD
Pioneer VSX-D510 amp
Tannoy F1 front speakers
Tannoy Mxc centre speaker
Tannoy Cherry rear speakers
Yamaha Sub woofer
Harmony 515 remote
Xbox 360 Elite

Amp only cost me £30 from the AV Forums, absolute bargain. It's not new or top of the range, but really does the job!

It might not be the prettiest in the thread but it is so much win.

The second Monolith arrived. :)

I've not had chance to do much other than set the levels. I've not even re-run the Antimode, but initial impressions are frankly awesome. :) Gone are the directionality issues I was having before, and subjectively the response seems significantly more even. Once the Antimode's been reset I'll measure it and see what it's actually doing. :)
