Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

The whole reason around the 2 TVs is that we can do our own thing but still be in the same room..

In my last relationship I had a different room in which I used to game but I found that having that brick wall in the way really messed up the relationship (combined with other aspects obviously).

As for the sound issue.. The misses doesn't like noise so her tv is normally low and I've got a pair of Astro A40s (wireless) :)

Absolutely fair, we like our stuff loud so we have 3 different "zones", 2 with Sky HD, Bluray, media players etc and 1 PC with 2 screens and Sky Go etc

I'm confused why people think 2 TVs is the wrong answer and that something must already be wrong..

For example.. say I picked up a copy of Skyrim on Friday and had been looking forward to "rimming" for hours and hours on Friday night.. this would mean that my poor GF would have to sit and watch me do this...

If I have 2 sets then this means I can rim as much as I like whilst she catches up on her soaps and watches comedy all night.. thus we are both happy. And since we are in the same environment we can still communicate :)

Seems like a no brainer to me.. I want this releationship to last as my GF is awesome lol

Hope I didn't say it was a bad idea, I fully agree dude, separate rooms all the time ESPECIALLY if you plan on "rimming" a lot would be a bad move. It's a great idea and wish I could afford to do it too =D

Nope.. not you..

People like the guy above me and my dad/work mates all think it is a bad move and that I'm "sad" for doing it.

Must be a generational thing I suppose.

Plus this means my spare room can now be a gym..

Been in this house since March and in that time have made a few slight changes to the front room...

Added some lighting behind the TV and swapped the fish tank and AV gear over to opposite sides of the room. Gets a bit more light into the tank instead with it being right next to the window instead of it being tucked away behind the speaker.

Still using my Yamaha DSP-AX620 which must be getting on for 10 years old now. Still performs brilliantly but does have an annoying buzz at high volume when processing a Dolby Digital source.

Speakers are B&W 601 S3s with an LCR 60 S3 centre. Jamo 8" subwoofer tucked behind the sofa to give a bit of grunt. Currently on the lookout for some 603 S3s or a better sub. New amplifier will probably come at the tail-end of next year. There's also a HTPC tucked away behind the TV.

TV - Samsung 40" C5800 LED
Audio - Onkyo TX-SR309
Media - Popcorn Hour A110

Not long set the Onkyo up and I need to find the right balance in the settings.

Loving it so far though. A lot better than a £35 durabrand 5.1 from Asda :)
