Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

Reminds me of that part from Alan Brown of CinemaQuest. Everything is right except the TV wall.

Yes it isn't for everyone but I couldn't help think of the 3D books trying to draw the picture out of the hidden maze.

I know where yoru coming from with the wall colours but when my fiancée has Secondary Breast Cancer with an extremely poor prognosis she can have whatever colour/paper etc etc she wants. And I smiled while I put it up for her :D

If you had put the paper on the other 3 walls and it would be fine, but on the TV wall its just too distracting. Nevertheless, otherwise its a very tidy set up. Good job!

With a view of making the living room, child friendly as much as possible, I have my TV 25 metres away from the AV receiver located under the stairs.

Connection between TV and AV receiver using HDMI CAT6 extender to maintain picture/video integrity.

Those pesky children slapping the TV screen. Is that the ejector hole I see for bad behaviour? ;)

it might be, they are beginning to outsize it though, lol. The last one did a 'proud' job by cleaning an old TV with a very wet wipe, lesson learnt and content insurance taken.

TV looks a lot smaller than it actually is for some reason!!

Wall mounted the TV and hid all of the cabling behind the plasterboard. Absolutely love it.

Samsung UE46F5000 46" LED TV
Sky HD
xBox One
Alphason TV unit with built in Q Acoustics speakers, subs and amp

The sound packs a hell of a punch, enough to make the neighbours complain and shake the room lol

View of the cabling part way through. Can't rate modular connections enough!

Little old now as I've changed the amp to an SC2024 and the large Silverstone case has been replaced with a gen 5 NUC.

LG 55" OLED TV.
Pioneer SC 2024 AV Amp
SONOS Connect
Sky+ HD
Monitor Audio BX5 and BX Center
BK Electric sub

Thinking of replacing the floorstanders with Silver 8's.

I've just taken delivery of the Monitor Audio BX6 floor-standers, BXW10 sub-woofer and BX centre. I was planning on picking up some BX1 or BXFX for rears.

I'm curious though, is your's just a 3.1 set-up? How do you find it?

In all three cases my AV stuff is hidden away.

It's more visible in the living room but not while you're sitting down.

Cinema room even the projector is hidden in the built in cupboard.

Bedroom as well, all the cables go behind the wall to a walk in cupboard where all the AV gear is.

All going to change soon though as these pictures were taking so we could sell the flat as we're hopefully moving in august!

And so, it begins...

Front - Monitor Audio BX6
Centre - Monitor Audio BX Centre
Sub - Monitor Audio BXW10
Rear - Monitor Audio BX1 + Stands
AVR - TBC, Sony 1060?
TV - Sony Bravia 2015 65" X85C
Unit - Bespoke walnut pending final design and sizes

Where should I plan to place my sub? To the left of the right floor stander or to the right? Or - do I run another cable underfloor and have the sub in the corner of the two couches?

Potential unit design, still undecided, may go a lot lower and just have shelving per the nice white one a few posts above.
